CC Vader's Interdiction

Here's a fleet I'm contemplating for CC. We'll be playing 2 fleets each and my other fleet will be a carrier / bomber fleet with lots of Tie Defenders, but this one is supposed to be a heavy hitting finisher / retreat prevention group.

The idea is to use Gonzo to spam engineering tokens for the ISD if necessary, coupled with the Interdictor's projections experts (with Wulf to rejuvenate the engineering tokens), whereas the raider provides support against squadrons with the Demolisher as the flanker.

This is what I am striving toward. Naturally, the initial 400 point fleet will be without all the fancy upgrades. :)

How are you going to build this at 400pts and 1 upgrade per ship?

IsdII with ecm lacks a lot.

Well, the 400 point fleet will be relatively barebone, but I assume that the campaign will enable me to add the necessary upgrades over time. This would be the "completed" version.

You think it isn't viable in the barebone setup?

I find it hard to see what the centrepoint of your fleet is, and so which upgrades you get first etc.

I think its more important to know the intermediate steps rather than the finished product. If you manage this, then chances are yourfleet will be stronger than your opponents anyway.

I see. I haven't taken into account the likely possibility that I would probably need to win 4-5 battles before I get enough points to bring the fleet close to the finished state and it might never develop as initially desired :)

So how 'bout this?

Devastator is the main gun, with Arquittens as a flanker (mosquito biter) whereas the Interdictor's role is to survive and keep Devastator alive as it deploys its defense tokens with abandon.

Reasonable, but remember that for the start of the CC, each ship can only have one upgrade plus your commander.

I thought the title didn't count... Hmm. No biggie :)

You could start with isd devestator, interdictor sw7, arquittens x17. And then after the first battle move all the upgrades to the isd.

Makes a lot more sense than trying to build demo and isd simultaneously
