A arcane apprentice starts with the two skills needed to cast his spells and gather power (spellcraft and channeling). It would make sense that an initiate would also start with the skills needed to use their blessings. Piety and Invocation. However I cant find anywhere saying that they start with the skills. So I assume that they do not. Does not seem balanced to me. Can anyone help? Please tell me I'm wrong.

You're not wrong and the FAQ even clarifies that this is so.
