Maybe a dumb question about CC

By Lemmiwinks86, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Hi all.

Just want to check if I understood something wright from CC.

Lets say that the Rebel team wins only one battle in a campaign turn and during the Management Phase they want to build a Base or an Outpost there. Since the resource points are public knowledge, I assume that the Empire team will know right away if that one is a Base or an Outpost depending if the Rebel team spent 15 points or 0 points. Is that right or there is something I'm missing?

Thanks in advance.

The rule book only refers to the Resource point 'Income' being public knowledge not how many are left. Sure, the Imps may well be able to tell based on expenditure that a Rebel Presence is definitely not a base but that wouldn't be great play by the Rebels!

No, in the rule book says, while referring to Rebel Bases and Outposts that "since all other information is public knowledge (including resource point income)...", so I understand that the resource points are also public knowledge. That is what gives me the doubt

Yup. I think you may have something here. Just don't announce it too loudly is about the only way I see around this one. That or use a Games Master.

One way you could view this is to treat the Team Roster sheet as hidden knowledge. Since this is where the Rebel team record their Base/Outpost info if they also record their resource point totals here their actual expenditure will remain secret too.

Yes, I guess I'll be playing it this way.

Thanks to all for your answers
