Just occured to me.. That the wave ten stuff isn't out yet and world's is in spring.

Doesn't affect me a ton since I won't go to it,but, that means that the meta will be basically what we have now and some smattering of wave ten things probably won't make a huge change to what's being flown these days.

So basically going forward for the next several months...For competitive play, I should probably just pick something and stick with it until wave 11 rolls around.

Nah, the world will be nuked by then. No Wave 11 for anyone.

We still don't even have the first half of wave 10 here, so the idea that wave 11 is on the horizon is actually somewhat aggravating. It's hard to be competitive in any sense, when your opponents may not only have ships you don't even have access to, but also have crucial experience with them that you simply do not.

I'm aware some stores had U-wings and Strikers, still waiting for mine which are on back order. But the Quad etc... aren't in the shops to my knowledge because I haven't seen pictures of them plastered all over the web.

Some early releases have been seen (artist copies I think), we know all the contents and dials now, but release isn't scheduled until 'late January' last I saw, in the UK at least.

We should finally be getting our Strikers and U Wings tomorrow.

Hope so, my U-wings been on order with Wayland Games for a month now. I had hoped they'd get a few as part of the Rogue 1 pre-release.. but maybe that was US only.

I heard the Imperials are getting a Gun Boat or something. Never heard of it myself.

I'd rather have Scum Epic before ANYTHING else- so much so that I may hold back buying anymore expansions until we get a biggin' from a villain.

I highly doubt it. Besides, about the only thing that they release early at Worlds is stuff that they print themselves.

I received a Striker and Uwing the Friday Rogue one came out. My LGS said he was finally able to actually place his order for the rest of Wave 10 last week (it was unavailable to order prior). He told me to expect it in January.

Considering that this wave was announced on 8-5-16 and is just now getting processed 5-6 months later I expect a very low chance that wave 11 will be ready by April. I understand that part of the delay probably had something to do with adding RO ships, but we may see the same thing with an VIII pack by next December.

I'd guess, if they haven't already, there will probably be an announcement for Wave XI by that time (as obviously, typically doing two waves a year it has to be in production now) and then maybe a release-ish by GenCon, like with Wave IX this year, and then similarly some data on XII which will probably begin tying in to Episode VIII by about then for release on the same timetable as X and R1 ships. Also hoping for more Epic or Aces announcements scattered in there.

I certainly hope not - the speed with which Wave 10 followed Wave 9 was already quite worrying enough. It's becoming difficult to get excited about new things when one hasn't yet exhausted the possibilities from the last lot.

Considering W10 was announced in Aug '16 it should come out in Feb/Mar '17 and that would only give a few months before Worlds, though looking at the history or announcements/releases I would imagine it W11 would be announced by then as sold at Gencon will it being released sometime around Sept/Oct '17 but this is all just speculation based on history

I'm just waiting for more Sabine ships. Surely she's walked by a Z-95 or a T65, which would completely justify a new release.
