I was wondering if these cards are legit or just for collectors. For example I see a maul pilot card.

I am guessing they are collectors items.

Some are prizes from official FFG tournaments. Some have screenshots from the films as the image (older ones) and some have different or extended artwork.

Can be pilot cards or upgrade cards.

There has recently been an influx of custom made cards by fans though, These aren't legit, but FFG doesn't exactly frown on them either. Just aren't sanctioned for official use in tournament games.

Fan made cards are not 'legit' in legal forms of the game. That said, many are just changed artwork and layout of legit cards and often get a pass in smaller events. Fan made cards that are totally original are way out there in 'fun land' and I would never put them on the table unless my opposing player suggested it first!

Cards like this one are perfectly legal, I promise they won't get you arrested.

Otherwise, only official FFG products can be used in official FFG events.
