Boundless Ambition, oh my...

By Attackmack, in Star Wars: Destiny

Pulled this card from one of the few boosters Ive bought and just stopped in awe and a bit sadness.

The art on these cards are amazing but this is the most beautiful of them all. And I realised how much I love Christoper Lee and all the work he did during his long life.

Such an amazing actor and person.

2015 he became boundless for real and I wonder if the art team on FFG perhaps treated this card a little as a tribute.

What I wouldn't do to have this as a canvas on my livingroom wall.

Bravo, Lucas Durham, this is an amazing drawing.

That's one of the nice things about Destiny using all Star Wars canon - we get to see art from the Prequels that we haven't yet seen before in other FFG games. We've know for years the art team can do well with Luke, Han, Leia, etc. and no we get to see them work on the likes of Dooku, Padme, etc.

Hey Soulless,
Just ran across this post from a year and a half ago. Thanks for the kind words, glad to hear all the positive responses to the illustration!
And you guessed right, FFG commissioned this piece about 6 months after Sir Christopher Lee's passing, and yes, Zoe Robinson (the art director I collaborated with) and I totally meant this as a tribute to him.
Was blasting some of his metal songs while I painted it.

Best,
Lucas Durham

It's also fun that Count Dooku - Darth Tyranus is an unparalleled melee character

Able to strike precisely with guaranteed melee results and Parry opponents' into blanks, he's a real fencer extraordinaire
