I do not know the exact wording in English, but in Spanish, sometimes, we can read something like "you must suffer 2 horror and 1 damage cancelled by X". Does this mean that I should roll two times, or that I can cancel both horror and damage just with one roll?

You roll just once, and for each success you decide to cancel either one Horror or one Damage
