This Hero has a healing ability. I'm having a hard time understanding how it works.

it says "Heroes within 3 spaces of you (Including yourself) May recover damage equal to the damage rolled."

When it says Including self does it mean that it heals both Heroes 3 spaces away and your self at the same time? as well as any Hero withing three spaces all at the same time? Or just one at a time? Self only? A certain Hero Only? or is it all together?

Abilities which specify a range such as "all heroes within X spaces " affect all heroes in a range less than or equal to X.

For the case of Avric's feat, X = 3. So, the ability has the effect "within 3 spaces". That means all heroes 3 spaces away, 2 spaces away, 1 space away (adjacent), and 0 spaces away (Avric's own space) are affected.

Note: some abilities say "each OTHER space", which excludes range 0 (your own space).

For the first skill, only the hero spending the surge recovers health. For his heroic feat all heroes within 3 spaces plus Avric himself recovers the health rolled on the dice.
