I'm making and insert and wondering how much space I need for it's slot.
IA Rancor Dimensions
It definitely looks like the least insert friendly figure so far. It's beautiful, but those arms really stretch out.
how much space
ALL OF IT. 4 2/8 inches high, 4 3/8 wide, 3 4/8 deep. Without head and arms it becomes 3 wide and 3 deep. Torso is 3 high by itself, legs are 2 2/8 by themselves. He's stupid big.

You mean stupid awesome.
Ya this is one figure I wonder if I will ever glue it together.. but it seems like unless I am willing to Green Stuff some areas prior to painting it will never look totally right.
Right now I use an old deck screw case for my painted AT-ST with a little foam in there to keep it in place, something like this:

Might have to go with something similar for the Rancor. I do all my transporting in a medium sized tote so having extra cases isn't a big deal at all. And having just built a deck and 180 feet worth of fence I've got a few of these kicking around in different sizes.. lol
Edited by FrogTriggerDude...wow. Best mini ever!
Yes, it will require some Green Stuff. I just ordered some from Amazon.
But wow, what a great sculpt! You just want to have a Gamorrean Guard sitting in its hand all the time....

You'll need a lot so he can have room with his other Rancor buddies!

I'll say, he was the best looking model in the whole series so far
OUTSTANDING JOB FFG!!!!
i made sure he was the first one i painted, spent about 6-8 hours painting him (lost count)
i even spent lots of time really trying to get his eyes menacing and beast like
those eyes are really piercing! excellent job!
Soon-to-be-dead-Davith for scale
what did you do for the broken chain and arm shackle? greenstuff?
Now that I have mine in hand, I can say it really is a nice model. However it's a bit squished... short... dwarfish, and not to scale. Anyone thinking of cutting their rancor from their star wars miniatures game and rebasing it for this game? That rancor is very detailed and true scale.

Greenstuff for the shackle, the crook of a paperclip for the attachment loop, and chain links from an old necklace.

Because we need something larger on the board?
