Cassian crew, hows he doing?

By wurms, in X-Wing

For the people who have actually used Cassian crew, Is Cassian worth the extra point instead of IA? Are you finding that guessing the move is paying off?

Im thinking of running:

Lothal

FCS

Hera

Cassian

Lothal is just PS3, but with Cassian, can get the upper hand on keeping that big gun facing the right direction, or else cause a bump so it doesnt get hit. Without engines or barrel roll, IA is rather useless. So is cassian ability being used enough to be worth it? Obviously it depends on skill of the player using it, but in general, is he really helpful?

I haven't used him yet. However, I would try him out in a K-Wing build of some sort with Advance Slam, Cluster Mines and/or Conner Net. Or some large ship with Ion Projector.

He's not very tall so he hasn't complained about the lack of leg room, so that's nice. Minimal backseat driving and didn't say anything about that asteroid we ran over. Hasn't started singing or tried playing travel games (not sure if relieved or disappointed). And always uses the bathroom before we leave to minimize stops. Haven't had to threaten to turn the ship around. Overall seems a solid crewman for a road trip.

No!! he is a mad man!!! Dont ever fly with him! Last he flew with me he started played this guessing game trying to predict the other ships? and then suddently, he grapped my controls and cause my ship to crash into another that he apparently "guessed" where was going?!?

He is never flying with me again.

--edited-- I can't read, that may be an issue. Oops. --end edit--

My build will be Lothal Rebel* - FCS, Autoblaster turret, Hera, Cassian

*In a VCX-100, there's easily enough room for him to go to the toilet and such. He might irritate Hera though, she's a bit of a crazy one about being a 'proper' rebel.

I will definitely fly with him... if they FAQ his interaction with missing the guess. If you guess wrong, it doesn't mention revealing the dial. I want to believe it's a 2 point super-intelligence agent, but I can see the argument against that interpretation.

"Guess aloud that ship's bearing and speed, then look at its dial."

"Guess aloud that ship's bearing and speed, then look at its dial.", says the card, no room for any misinterpretation here.

He's a better form of intelligence agent, with an extra perk based on reading the mind of the opponent, and changing the maneuver. Better with Heff Tobber though, you can afford to bump and get the benefit of an action. Plus he is a total backseat driver!! (Heff won't care, he actually gets better insurance in wrecks).

It doesn't say which side of the dial.

Obviously the side that shows the manuvere....

Considering some level of BS that had been on this forum lately, 100% someone is going to argue about it....

Sad but true
