MC-75 What will it be?

By Emperor Dane, in Star Wars: Armada

I wish for one of ver. of the MC75 be carrier and still wanting it to be diffent then existing existing carriers. One slight problem I see is when it comes to rebel carriers the pelta is possblly gaining up on the AFM2. As carrier, the pleta is cheaper and has more carrier slots to make it stronger carrier. The only offset is AFM2 has more survivablity. How does the game make a place for a MC-75 carrier that does not out do the roles of AFM2 and MC-80.

I think some of my observation between pelta and AFM2 could be useful. The MC-75 could be a offensive carrier sacfricing defence (No defence retro and less hull).

One of the effects I've been considering for ether Raddus or Profundity is a Jans Ors abillity but Large ships spending thier braces in defence of small ships.

I would also like to avoid giving the fleet support to anything bigger then a small base as it means many of the strong bubble effects that this slot has gets boost in area coverage.

Repair crews and BCC would be thematic, but I see what your saying about flotillas.

Yea, I think a new slot type would be better which would allow similar support options, like preventing discard upgrades from being discarded once or allowing ships extra yaw or even letting a ship use a yaw at a different speed for their current one.

Ackchyually... in the new canon it's bigger than an ISD. So closer to 2000m.

Yup - but that Rebels episode (and the galleries on the SW.com site) didn't air till several months after I'd made that comment.

Unfortunately - the gallery entry does not seem to be enough for them to amend Home One's own Databank entry:

http://www.starwars.com/databank/home-one

and because Wookieepedia is bound to stick only with what's actually stated rather than implied:

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Home_One

this means that Wookieepedia has to state that Home One's "canon length" is 1200m.

Hopefully - there will be a Databank update, or another Rebels Visual Guide published , which includes Home One - with the new length - allowing us to state "Now, it's canonically 1900m" (or whatever length they give).

According to the old "technical commentaries" by Curtis Saxton Home One is even double than that, 3800m long. This has been deducted by analysis of the seen pictures in RotJ. http://www.theforce.net/swtc/mcc.html#isd

However, for our little game that's simply not useable. So i guess marketing experts have a huge say in the "canon length" of this toy space ship.

I've seen some counterarguments against those - 3800m wasn't the minimum , but a best guess.

But with luck, we might get 1900m at least.
