Colonel Jendon

By Warlord Zepnick, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

"During your activation, instead of attacking, you may choose 1 friendly squadron at distance 1-2. That squadron may perform an attack (even if it has already activated."

Wait, is this ability even better than I initially thought?

Based of the text alone, this means I can move to 1 friendly squadron, and then use the Colonel's ability, right?

Edit: of course you would need to activate the Colonel with a squad command to do this

Of course... How else could one read it?

It could be better if you could "reactivate" the squadron.

We would have nightmares with Mithel or Fett XD

Being the price precedence that the rebels play with Adar Tallon for that ability, plus the base cost of the Lambda itself, he'd be up there with one of the more expensives squadrons in the game

You must remove "strategy" from the equation.

You must remove "strategy" from the equation.

I did. Also factor in the Double Braces, as well.

Even if you were dealing with a Straight Lambda, with Tallon's ability, that's arguably a 26pt Squadron.

How much is Strategic worth? Don't really know... Its good. But it puts you in Harms way somewhat as well...

Then add Double-Braces. Double-Braces on a 6 Hull Model is pretty good, too... Able to take that all on.

That even assumes no changes in Attack Dice.

I don't know.

I just had to make sure there were no hidden arguments like there were with RLBs.

You're getting Rules-Paranoid, man. :)

Well I have rated the squadron points and I am very proud about the precision. With the new squadrons I didn't yet but with a quick view with the rebel I would rated strategy at 2 points and relay at 2 points per value point. Of course if they are well balance.

Maybe tomorrow I will put a thread with my "theory". Now I go to sleep. XD
