Our Intel Officer Luke is up against the current ACT Regional Champion Flight Commander Damien! This also our first Wave 5 battle report and our last one for 2016!

There were some tech issues at the beginning of turn 4, so theres a couple of things missed there sadly. Sorry guys!

I talked to one of the FFG devs and they said that the squadrons can attack after they are launched.

Ironically our Flight Commander Damien didnt think so, But we agreed before hand it would be and he seemed to like it but thought it was a bit overpowered.

Naturally i disagree!

Nothing suggests no attack just no moving.

I think of it as the marg sabl move ;p

Seems to warrant a test on ISDs, dropping Firesprays and Rhymer.

For what its worth I disagree with the launch bay interpretation.... it says "for each squadron you would activate, you may instead...." ie it doesn't count as activating them. You only get to attack if you activate.

Of course that means the "it cannot move this activation" is superfluous. Should say cannot move or attack. Or better yet just omit the last sentence. Maybe the "activation" in this case refers to the ship.

Anyway hopefully they will clarify quickly. Any expectation for regionals?

Rough game dice wise, but Luke you said it yourself, you let him get in your head at deployment and had to fight uphill from there.

I actually think I might have swung into that corridor and trusted strageic to mitigate the threat from the ion cannons, but I dunno. One thing that struck me watching the game is that as good as the Argkittens is, Ackbar fleets can be a dangerous match for them since they screw around with their approach vectors.

Nice works guys. The most brilliant part for me and something I hadn't thought of is loading up the MC80 with 4 squads while commanding 4 squads out on the table. Brilliant...just brilliant!!!

I think the whole point of RLB is to put fighters on a strong carrier and release them in the face o the target.
