I will probably just use tie as stand in for extra z95s as the rebel do use the now in limited capacity and slightly modified. Instead of buying more z95s.
Well since it is cannon
I'm sure alot of us also have more X-Wings than we will ever field, could be a simple snip and glue job to remove two of the foils and glue them back horizontally.

Its... tricky, to get right.
But you can.
There are other details to work out (Which I kinda-half-arsed here), including removing the astromech and putting the 'hump' on the rear fuselage.
I did that for Judson's versions, which was a 2.0 for me.

Nice job Dras they look great ![]()
Great job Dras, I think for people with endless patience and the correct set of fine-mechanic paws this is the way to go!
As I lack both I would definitely accept the minimum conversion Leowulf mentioned as Z-95s on the table, as long as they are distinguishable and the other guy made at least some effort to catch the look.
For love's sake, please don't confuse cannon ( a weapon) with canon (in this case means officially accepted).....

But it's cannonical!

Patience? Mechanic Paws?
I have a Toddler, Wear Glasses and live with high blood pressure that manifests in either caffiene withdrawls or caffiene shakes in my hands...
Anyone can do it. They just have to put their mind to it.
The main cautionary is the fact that the models themselves are small, and the wings are essentially cantilevered somewhat. So it depends on what you use to cut them
If you take a hobby knife, and try to press through to cut the wings off, you'll either being the lower wings, have the blade twist, providing an off-line cut, or even in the best of worlds where you go straight through, you;ll have to trim the wing to get it to sit flush with a fuselage section that has a gap in it...
If you take clippers, its just as problematic, because the pinching adn the hard plastic wants to not stretch, which means the model itself wants to twist a lot - again, giving you a less-than-straight cut of the wing... And the more you trim to get it straight, the less wing there is, which breaks the silhouette of the model somewhat... You can kind of see how the wings were not perfectly straight even on mine...
