Defender Ball

I haven't thought of any objectives yet, but I wanted to see what the community thought of this. The idea here is for the light cruisers to provide flank support and push damage on the flanks, either forcing redirects, or attention. With the idea behind rapid launch bays being launch - then attack at distance one...I got cheeky.


Use an ISD 1 - rapid launch bays - rhymer - 4 defenders with a BCC within distance five....spring the defender ball, shoot at med thanks to rhymer, then follow up with the isd main battery using the h9 to lock down anything like a brace or something.


Could be nasty...be it's lacking in the squadron department, and if the enemy has a fighter screen out to medium range it could prove tricky.

You could move intel officer onto the ISD to give a real conundrum to targets with ECM.

I'm not keen on Tagge. The timing of his effects sometimes doesn't fit in with when your tokens are discarded. You could upgrade him to Vader making all your attacks more potent. Drop Intel officer and H9s (your rerolls on the front arc volley of an ISD should get you an accuracy as you can reroll all blue dice without cost. Then you can take Hand of Justice on the Needa ship to recover the brace on the ISD or recover the evade on the other light cruiser.

Another option is to squeeze Flight Commander onto the ISD to give you the option of dropping the fighters at medium range or after you move at close range. The enemy will now need 2 fighter screens to prevent your Tie-Ds attacking ships.

Another option is to drop 1 Tie-D to a Tie-B and change Relentless for Avenger and put the Suppressor upgrade on your flotilla. Run the flotilla near the ISD to help out bombing and who is really going to shoot at it rather than the big wedge bearing down on them when it could just scatter the lot. Use Suppressor to flip the enemy brace to red then watch Avenger do its thing, then finally the enemy can use a red brace on Rhymers 1 black dice if they wish.
