So I reserved one more spot than I needed. :P

Overall, I'm very happy with the set. Some very good item cards, along with some much-needed options for melee heroes, plus some very nice shineys for ranged heroes. That Tier III blaster rifle... two mod slots? Man...

My brother wanted to play Shyla since she was first announced. I don't think he'll be disappointed. Not sure where she'll ultimately fall on the power curve, but boy she looks fun to play. Mobile melee with crazy melee bonuses plus a whip? Dang...

Edited:

Turns out there was more to see. :P Here's some stuff from the book:

Shyla looks so powerful, wow!

Thanks a bundle for sharing this bundle of joy!

Shyla looks so powerful, wow!

She does. "Deadly Grace" looks very strong for 4xp, with +1 Endurance, +1 Evade (to a black die!), and +2 movement points at the start of the round. That's a very nice all-round stat upgrade. "Full Sweep" (4xp) basically turns any melee weapon into a one-shot Electrostaff. Paired with the Electrostaff... "Proximity Strike" (2xp) and "Responsiveness" (1xp) look very good as well. Not a bad haul for 11xp altogether, which is usually doable in a campaign.

And that's not even counting her reward card. With 12 base health, another +2 health gives her the potential for 17 max health with a black die + Evade if she gets Laminate Armor... though that might be overkill. With a free Evade each time she defends, the Combat Coat might actually be a better buy for her, since it's basically the same effect as the laminate armor, but without an exhaust penalty. 16 health plus a free block or surge on top of a black die every round is not what I want to deal with as an IP. Plus the reward's static ability to surge for +2D or recover 2 on any melee weapon is crazy good. It's basically a "free" High-Impact Guard, if High-Impact Guard could also heal or give Reach .

The only potential drawback I can see is that seven of her eight cards are exhausts to use, so there's not a lot of static effects out there. That said, only three cost strain (plus her starting ability), and only 1 strain each, so that's good. Plus, I think the "recover 2" from the reward card would start by removing strain before it tackles health, so paired with some of her other abilities, she could be a very strain-free character.

How many of each generic figure/cards do you receive in a single box?

OMG thank you! My copies not arriving until Monday, this is so greatly appreciated.

How many of each generic figure/cards do you receive in a single box?

Four figures each of the Weequays, Gammoreans, and Jet Troopers; for each figure set, there are two normal deployment cards and one elite deployment card (so three cards total for each figure group). Three hero figures, one skirmish deployment card each. One Rancor figure, two deployment cards (one campaign, one skirmish).

He is as big as advertised... maybe even bigger.

Also deployment cards for Luke, Jabba campaign, Jabba Skirmish, Terro (but not the generic dewback), and normal alliance rangers (not the elites). No figures for those, because reasons.

That's great, in the UK we don't get the box until the 12th

Vinto's "Merciless" seems like a crazy good 4xp card.

Could you take pictures of the miniatures from the box expansion, especially next to the rancor?

Or in the rancor's claws.... :)

Any chance you could post photos of the rule book? I'm hearing there are changes that were added to the game as a whole for campaign. Thanks so much.

I can help out with that via social media.

How do you get the Pit Droid? He looks so cute!

Edit: never mind, I eventually found it. Never expected a companion as loot...

He's an item draw from a crate. I think Bespin had an Astromech you could draw from a crate, so it's the same concept. Seems to fulfill the same general function of dealing with crates and such so heroes don't have to spend activations doing it. Of course, most heroes would still need to spend at least one action opening a crate to land the pit droid, so...

Added those up here .

That was just too good to pass up. ;)

Now if I could just find four evenings in a row to paint him... :P :D

Rancor looks awesome close up and next to the other figures.

Sad to see that threat missions aren't returning. I thought they were really good at balancing the side missions for the Imperial player. Guess people didn't like them.

The models are all (once again) top-notch. I think the Rancor may weigh more than the Bespin Gambit campaign box. :P

That's legit! I'm so happy there are many things that fit :D

Well, drawing 12 equipment cards should make getting what you want easier. Makes Jynn's ability to draw an extra card even less useful.

Class decks look okay, maybe not hugely interesting and maybe on the weaker side.

The new equipment looks really powerful.

Took me an hour just to split everything up and sort them into their proper spots. This game has too too too many cards and figures.

What do you think about new Imperial Classes and heroes?

Could they be new tier A heroes?
