curse of the rougarou/carneval of horrors

By glinner, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

Can anyone tell me when these will be out in the UK?

yes this!

you can order Rougarou from Wayland games but it just says out of stock...I am sure it didn't say this when I placed my order earlier this week and now they have my money!

Wayland said it was awaiting stock, now it says awaiting reprint.. Who knows when it will arrive!

My local webshop have them listed for January and March, but I have no idea how reliable that info is. They had Dunwich listed for december and I seriously doubt they will make that delivery date ;)

what is this local webshop ...intruiged

Heh, yeah, its vengefulgames.dk and he sells games online but he is based in my hometown and allows local pickups, hence the "local" ;)

Got mine a couple couple of days ago :))

Ah ha! But did you get it directly from FFG, or through a retailer in your country? And which country are you in? I mean, it's nice for you and everything, but a helping hand for those poor non-Americans who want to get a copy at a reasonable rate would be appreciated!

I was also wondering about this. Any updates?

My local gaming shop plans on getting them in but he says he's unsure of dates. Can't wait to get them, and Dunwich Legacy! :)

I'm in the UK - ordered direct from FFG - the Carnivale of Horrors is probably the best scenario so far, followed the the Rougarou!!! Well worth a few quid in postage, to fill the void, whilst waiting for Dunwich Horror to get here ;)

If they hadn't announced it literally the same day my Rougaroux order arrived, I might be tempted to do it again... Paying for exorbitant delivery plus quite startling import tax, plus having to be in to receive it, all put me off!

Daft Blazer - hmm, it's tempting but £15 postage is just a bit too much for me just now. Both packs would be around £24 so £39 all around including the postage. Which isn't obscene, but not cheap either! If I get desperate I'll definitely consider it though! Did you have to pay any tax?

My supplier is now saying Thursday 19th here in Denmark (for Curse of the Rougarou).

I didn't pay any tax, only shipping.

Awesome! Still can't find any retailers here taking pre orders or anything but I'm checking every day!

Interesting! That's good to know, ta. :)

For the record, I did have to pay tax. I ordered 2 copies of Rougaroux (one for a friend) and a gaming mat, when it arrived I had to pay around £37 in tax before I could collect it. I think that's really steep, but I don't know how it's calculated so I couldnt really challenge it. So, beware, I think it's likely!

Update! In the U.K. Wayland Games have Carnevale on sale now, not clear if they are in stock, but they're at least available to preorder. They also have Rougaroux there, but that says awaiting reprint, so possibly they have ordered a bunch direct and sold them through. We shall see... I'll keep you updated when my copy arrives.

For the UK, Chaos Cards have said in their weekly newsletters before Christmas that they will be stocking both eventually, but it may not be until February.

Assuming a standard playmat (not the multiplayer one), they made you pay 100% of the base price in tax, rather than the normal 20%.

Wayland Games took my money for Rougarou then the next day changed status to awaiting reprint so won't be using them again ...beware!

I didn't pay any tax either :D

I'm just glad I waited for the second scenario to be released before ordering, wich mitigated the postage a bit! And since they were Christmas presents, the value argument doesn't really matter so much ;)

Are we really into the 21st century ?

That's really what comes to my mind when I'm waiting more than a month that something simple that's been released in the US, is now released in Europe.

Miniature Market have both print on demand scenarios in stock, and the price for me would be slightly cheaper than the UK options at the moment. It could be a long wait though - anything from 12 days to a month! In the time between they could be available from Games Lore, my preferred option.

Yes, you'd think they had access to printers and warehouses in Europe by now.

Hmm that sucks! Thanks for the heads up. Beginning to think it's not worth the risk of tax! I need to learn to be patient...I know it'll come to the UK eventually.

Sounds good but again I'd worry about tax. :(
