I've got ARC-170 as a Christmas gift (to have the support of your wife - priceless).

The problem is, I have only one copy and no idea what to fly alongside it. I would like to make Norra Wexley work, but if you have ideas how to make other pilots shine, please do not hesitate explaining it. I think it's too wide topic to post it in lists forum.

I have 2x A-W, B-W, X-W, T-70, 1xE-W, Falcon, Z-95.

I'm thinking of buying K-W. I enjoy flying Corran Horn with PTL FCS RD-2D EU, but I'm not sure if an ARC is a good wingman for him.

I bought 2 when released simply because I love ARC 170s. I almost always fly them in pairs or with an A-wing escort. Very successful ship for me.

I really like the Arc, either as a loaded out ace like Norra (R2D2 - Kyle Katarn - Push the Limit - Vectored Thrusters - Alliance Overhaul) or a stressbuild with Braylen Stram with R3-A2 and Gunner.

If you buy a K I think Norra with Miranda bomber could be something gnarly.

The 2 most popular builds seems to be Regen Norra and Braylen with Stressbot. These are pretty self-sufficient and can be slotted into any builds provided you have the points. Thane can work too, particularly with M9-G8. Only Shara Bey seems to be rather lacklustre.

Biggs: R4-D6, Integrated Astromech

I try to fly them in formation. When they attack Biggs that allows Thane to take a target lock so he can usually fire the torpedo pretty quickly. Ezra with the stress bot has also been good because I get to change a focus to a crit.

Rey on Norra has been pretty good for me, it allows me to stockpile some Focus tokens so I can start regening shields later on in the game.

You can spend your TL to add a focus OR use it as always to reroll the dice you choose

Correct, while it sounds mediocre, you have to remember that if you have something to turn that Focus into Hit (or a Crit like Tail Gunner) that is a guaranteed result. You need to have rolled at least 2 blanks on your attack dice for the average result of your rerolls to be better than that.

Precisely for that reason I bought my wife two arcs. They go rather well as pairs along with Biggs to protect them.

THough I have seen a lot of people having success with One Arc (Nora, Thane, Stramm, all seem to work), Jan Ors and a VCX-100.

You'll need a few things for this build, but it's very fun and can be quite good.

Norra Wexley (PTL, R5-P9, Kyle Katarn, Overhaul)

Shara Bey (Draw Their Fire, R2-D2, Weapons Engineer, Overhaul)

Biggs Darklighter (R4-D6, Integrated Astromech)

I heard a Brit that I met at the World Championship call this list "MILFs and Biggs", with MILFs standing for Mom's I'd like to fly of course (Norra is Snap's mom and Shara is Poe's), but I prefer the very punny name I came up with - MILF Moustache :{)

You'll need to get another ARC obviously, and then a couple of droids from the Rebel Transport, and maybe Kyle depending on if 1 of your A-wings and the 1 B-wing came in that Rebel Aces pack or not. Norra has a very high chance of getting 5 hits at range 1 if Shara also has a TL on the defender. R4-D6 is good to negate danage coming in for Biggs, but crits ruin his day, so make sure Shara stays close by. The ARCS can take a couple hits too with Biggs still alive and then just regen the damage, so don't be afraid to fly in a loose formation if you can.

It gives you 2 Regen ships with some decent support. Here's the synergy:

Biggs has shield Regen, which is normally fairly bad. However, Thane's movement phase action is Jyn, giving Biggs up to four focus tokens for defense. I.e. he probably won't die on the first combat round. Shara, combined with M9-G8 and weapons engineer, means that she can either give her two allies an offense boost, or reduce the attack power of two opposing aces (Say, Soontir Fel or defdners, which normally don't have a target lock of their own). Its one of the many Biggs variations, but I believe this is particularly tough to kill.

I'm still running Fickle's Norra - Braylen - Biggs with good results.

The more I play this list, the more I believe Braylen is the key: Biggs plays his role, Norra hits as hard as she can but Braylen's stress and Gunner can ruin almost everyone's day

Rey will bank focuses for later regen. She could be swapped for recon specialist to guarantee more focuses later, but then I should chance LW for VI on Luke. Or swap Luke for Wedge with adaptability. Of course non of those ships will last under focused fire, but on the other hand - you have three ships regenarating shields. How cool is that?

Biggs will get nuked with R2D2 only triggering maybe once. Without R4D6 to cancel damage, there are too many red dice out there now. Don't waste the points on a regen Biggs. It might work occasionally, but it seems like a really bad idea.

A good 1 ARC list that I've seen and have wanted to try is this:

Biggs (R4D6, Integrated)

Miranda (TLT, Homing, Rey, Chips)

Braylen (Gunner, R3A2, Overhaul)

As I, and many it sounds like, don't have a Striker yet and with Sabine's TIE not release yet - I'll test this on Vassal sometime soon. Not competitive, but looks fun/trollish.

Three options to raid evade tokens from, one of which cant be shot at except by PS9 and higher ships. This lets Norra throw up to 5-6 dice out the front and 4-5 out the back.... and still add an evade result.

Biggs is the smart and boring choice.

Stale socks is a deadly build no matter how you look (smell) at it.

If you are going Norra you really need Biggs. She dies way to easily without him. Braylen doesn't need him as much but you do need to bring some good threats alongside him to pull the focus away from him.

Some fun ideas here. When I get around to getting an ARC, I'll have to come back and see what else has developed.
