Hello all, I was curious on if the tie /sf receives tie fighter only buffs, like tie fighters and FOs do(or at least think they do). Any help would be appreciated!

The TIE/sf Fighter is a TIE fighter.

If an upgrade or effect is restricted to "tie only", the ship just needs to have the word "tie" in its name. If something says "tie fighter only", it has to have "tie fighter" anywhere in its name. The two words do not have to be next to each other.

So the upgrades like lightened frame, or Ion engine MK 2, or effects like Youngster's pilot ability, all work on Tie [sf, Fo, whatever] Fighters.
