Punworrca 116-Class Specs?

Looking for Punworrca 116-Class Intergalactic Schooner stats!

Note: Our game is set 12 BBY and is strictly AU .

I play an exiled noble turned rebel agent. He's a "face character" who is patently lethal with a vibro-rapier. His backstory is that he was banished by the crown of Alderaan for an unlawful duel (over a woman, of course!) that resulted in another noble's death. His family (headed by his "baby aunt") has enough money, power, and influence off-world that nobles and politicos from other planets generally see his scandalous past as little more than colorful gossip.

Bail Organa has publicly snubbed him, but in private has recruited him to work for the nascent rebellion. He presents himself as a rakish gambler, ladies man, and shiftless dilettante with an "eclectic" black book, rubbing elbows with scum and society alike. This allows him to recruit agents, make deals, steal secrets, philander, and carry out black ops all over the galaxy. A fighter or freighter seemed inappropriate, and a Nubian diplomatic craft or a Baudo-class yacht seemed just a little too much.

I settled on a stock Punworrca 116-Class Intergalactic Schooner as a middle ground. Are there stats for one in any of the books?

I don't think that made it into print yet. I used the S-type racing sloop stats from suns of fortune for it in our game.

A baudo is likely cheaper than a solar sailer. I would recommend a CEC hawk-1000 from fly casual. It'seems technically a "freighter" but one that out performs most starfighter, and it's restricted. By imperial decree was never supposed to be produce but a limited run was "accidentally" produced and sold off quietly, so it has a very roguish flavor. It has no weapons but 5 hard points, spend one on the luxury accommodations and you've got yourself an almost perfect ship in my opinion. I will whip up an oggdude sheet for it... adding luxury accommodations and a quad laser canon. Let me know what else you want on it.

Edit: I submit The Dilettante for your approval I threw in the various droid brains because they are all 0 hp attachments. you've got 3 HP left. What else you want on it?

Wow. That's very kind and thank you! Your initial stab is quite prescient. The droid brains were in my notes. If you could add a whisperthrust engine, nightshadow cloak, and hyperwave transceiver it would be complete. I've been using the ship name Bon Vivant .

Just keep in mind that if you land anywhere remotely near civilization with a nightshadow cloak, you’re likely to have a lot of “Imperial Entanglements”.

That would be like driving around in a vehicle with a paint job that refracted light kind of like the cloak in “Predator”, and would be likely to draw a great deal of attention anywhere that anyone saw it.

It’s not something you can just turn off.

what book is the hyperwave transceiver in, I'm not seeing it in the list of vehicle attachments (maybe it's under a different name?)

Apologies. Its officially called a Hyperwave Signal Interceptor. However, in the fluff text, its also called a hypertranciever.

See: Suns of Fortune p. 101.

That's an excellent point.

A thin-film covering that has to be removed (perhaps by polarizing the hull) before the nightshadow cloak can do its work might be in order....

I've found a "holonet pirate array" but that takes 2 hp and you only have 1 left. If you dropped the nightshadow coating like brad suggested, you could put it on. Also there is something called a pseudo cloaking device in special modifications you might want to try replacing the nightshadow coating with it (it futzes with sensor readings and to make you hard to detect and harder to hit from beyond close range, but does nothing visually)

I was misreading the section. The item I was looking at was under cybernetics. We can leave that be.

Let's drop the nightshadow coating in favor of the pseudo cloaking device.

Here is the Bon Vivant . I also added a few more zero hp attachments (encrypted computer, and security something or other) and you've still got one free hp. I'd recommend saving that until you find something you want during game play

by the way you can find a very pretty fan made deck plan for the HWK-1000 (and HWK-290, the one with blue trim is the HWK-1000) in the first post of this thread

EW - thank you very much!

EW - thank you very much!

You're welcome.

By the way, for my party ship (I'm the GM), I take an deckplan image and use gimp to scale it to minis scale cut them into 17x11 inch pieces (just under usually) and then email the pieces to office depot (or office max) to print on 80 lb paper in 17 by 11 segments. When I get them home I use scissors to trim the image edges that got split. and Then put them together on the table for a map. office depot has a print box for 17 by 11 inch prints which will keep your maps in good condition and then I uses the rule that anywhere on the same 17x11 sheet is short range, the sheets 2 and 3 are medium, sheets 4 and 5 are long range, and since my "that's not a coffee table, that's a dinner table for hobbits" coffee table is 56 by 34 inches (i.e. a 5 by 2 array of 11 by 17 inch sheets covers it pretty completely) extreme range is quite literally "off the table".

Of course this is the most beneficial if you use miniatures.

Now I don't know if you use wotc miniatures but if you did, I would recommend Jax Pavan for you character (and just say that the lightsaber is a vibrorapier), the mini has a trench coat, a blaster pistol, and a lightsaber, which I think fits the theme of your character. If not I can look for others to recommend.

Even though the conversation seems to have been settled, I want to just toss in the following:

1) If you really want stats for the Punworrca , let me know and I'll see if I can put something together. It's an odd ship to be sure, but might be fun to work up.

2) With your character's backstory, I think EW is on the right track with suggesting the HWK or a Baudo. The Punworcca only has standing room for 10, so if you were to say engage in a bit of smuggling, people or otherwise, or if you were to engage in activities fitting to your background regarding the various colourful exploits, it's a poor choice.
