They sold out pretty fast, the stores around here only got 1-3 each. It would seem FFG did a quick shipment of what they had, in order to get it out in time for the movie. We'll probably see more with the rest of Wave 10
FFG stuff is popular enough where if you dont preorder dont even dream on getting it on release. And in some areas even then youre still hosed.
Managed to get one off Amazon Canada for Christmas. There were two before I ordered. The last one disappeared soon after. My local store had maybe a couple.

I just checked and the U-Wing and Striker are not shown as available, shipping, on the boat or awaiting reprint. That's in the Upcoming section. Wave 10 is still "On the Boat" since 10/20. Haven't watched the weather for the Pacific Ocean so I can't say about shipping delays.
Used 2 in an epic game today.
Cassian died fairly quickly - but thats what Epic play is, any focus fire will see a ship go down
Heff however managed to do his thing - while he didnt get bumped into, it made my opponent avoid him and so he managed to be annoying and then turn around to hunt the rear of a huge ship, he got destroyed just before finishing the Gozanti~
Pretty satisfied, though I havent used them in 100 pts yet - probably not more than 1 U-Wing at a time for 100 pts x;
As for where I got 'em.. one of the stores where we dont play a whole lot stil lhad 2 Strikers and 2 Uwings, I suspect its all they received and right after Christmas, they had a 25% sale.. took all 4 ships home.
Now where's the rest of Wave 10? I want my batshuttle and some Rebel TIE Fighters.. and one Quad just because.

FFG releases are not late, nor are they early. FFG releases arrive precisely when they mean to.
My FLGS still had them in stock IIRC.
And in other news, my FLGS was told by their distributor that they were only getting half of their TIE Striker/U-Wing pre-order due to "supply issues" (which they did), and that the remainder of their order should follow some time in January. Whatever you want to take that to mean.
Armada Wave 5 arrived as ordered last week, and hopefully Imperial Assault this week will too.
