Yeah... Keith Richards is the exception to the rule. Most drug abusers don't get long lives out of the habit.
Lord Tareq from what I heard she already did some stuff for Episode 8 if that's the case you'll see her next year.
Actually the sound track for EP8 just got finished. They are in post production right now. This does impact EP9 in a huge way and may change things in EP8 to account for this.
Sad times, worst news. I hope people here agree that our best wishes are with her family (both Star Wars and normal) during this time, she will be missed. The force will be with her, always.

When she was at Super Nova Perth I got her to sign my 1977 original copy of Star Wars. This will be my most cherished possession :-(
I was optermistic about her condition because nothing bad happens to Princesses.

According to some sources, Episode VIII includes a larger role for now General Leia, so we'll see what comes of that. Principal photography wrapped months ago though, meaning that her place in the movie is all but assured. What this means for Episode IX and beyond is up in the air.
Could be that Rogue One isn't the only movie that features an entirely CGI Leia?
Thought I'd give Han's impression of the passing. She'll be missed. I just hope Disney doesn't dig her up for Episode IX or use cgi. A graceful, off screen exit is enough.
Episode VIII isn't done yet, but they've already shot scenes with her. I think we're likely see them use what they have to give her a proper send off. No CGI necessary.

There was one on here I wasn't aware of, but the list is also missing one. I cannot recall his name but the officer in a new hope who asked "TK-421 why aren't you at your post " and was subsequently clobbered by Chewie was an Australian actor who passed this year as well.
