This sucks. Word was she was doing much better.

If I was on the fence about her autobiography before, I'm definitely not now. Carrie Fisher always seemed so cool to me. In her later years she was always extremely open about her dark times and funny to listen to. She was a great storyteller. These last few days I've been listening to interviews with her and she was just tremendously entertaining.

I recommend the audio book. She reads it herself

Sad news. I was hoping to see more of her in Episode 8 as she performed so well in episode 7.

We might still see her in Ep 8. She may have filmed scenes already. But it will hurt all the more.

Edit: Principal photography wrapped in July, so we're sure to see her still.

Wonder how far into Ep8 they recorded. If its most of the movie i bet they change it to give an excuse for her not to return in 9 rather than try to find a look-a-like. You know anyone they take to try and replace her will be forever flamed for trying to be Leia.

So it will be some big hairbuns to fill, but not entirely impossible.

I saw her one woman show when it was running on broadway and it was excellent. Sad to see her go so young.

I knew when she had the heart attack that 2016 couldn't help but give us that one last stab and then twist the ******* dagger. **** you 2016.

Such a sad day for the Star Wars community.

I know I for one was extremely excited to see her return to the series, and to develop a character she pioneered so many years ago into the new trilogy and beyond.

Rest in Peace Princess. I will miss You. One day I will find you in heaven and ask you to tell whole story of SW to my children.
