Can the anti squad armament attack squads at long range with the two red dice?
CC Armed Station
No reason why not.
Ship Anti-Squadron Armament are based on the Range of the Dice after all.
Can the anti squad armament attack squads at long range with the two red dice?
As the station is a single hull zone with a 360 arc, when the station fires, won't it be able to attack every single squadron within range all the way around? That seems like a huge area of the table.

Yep, it is.
Its pretty crappy un-fixable dice, though

Is this attack considered "unfriendly" like the Ion Cannon?
No, but its more along the lines of: "What will you use to make it better?"
Command Token? - No Commands. No command value. Even if you Comms-Netted a token over, it couldn't hold it.
Darth Vader? - No Defense Tokens.
Jonus? - We're shooting at Squadrons, not Ships.
Some other upgrade? - It can't take Upgrades...
Targeting Becaons? - Wrong objective if you want Armed stations, sorry.
Home One? - Hey, this'll work. Sets a die to an ACC, but doesn't exactly up the damage of 2 very fickle reds.

But Are the stations a ship? I ask cause you talked about Vader. It would be interesting with Motti or Targeting Scrambler.

Screed would work. He does nothing but works XDNo, but its more along the lines of: "What will you use to make it better?"

"Treated as ships for the purposes of resolving effects."
Can the anti squad armament attack squads at long range with the two red dice?
The armed station has a single blue anti-squid die.

On mine, GK... That's a Single Blue Anti-Ship Die... (As the Red-box is Anti-Ship Battery)...
Whereas the White labelled Box, with Red Red Blue Blue, is Anti-Squadron Battery....
(Also, I'd love an Anti-Squid die.)
Screed works, but both the red and the blue crit-only faces means no damage.....

We need anti-squid for the day the cephalopods attack!
I see it now...the station card is shaped like a squid card...but my mind could not comprehend firepower of that magnitude. It seems...turned on it's head...

Like a squid card? What kind of sleeve it uses?
Eight or ten armed.
