In the Scrub League

BMcDonald7 vs tgall (376 vs 400) Victory tgall (24 MoV, 6-5)

Tale of the game

We played Intel Sweep, tgall was Player 1. With a line of debris and one asteroid bisecting the table and the station and other asteroids towards Ben's side, we enjoined battle. My Demo, Arq, and Goz along with my lone shuttle on one side, with my ISD II, on the other side of the line.

Ben sort of turtled up, with two Goz, Demo, ISD II and fighter swarm center and more or less set to fan out.

We played some shuttle shuffle foo to move some of the tokens around, but in the end it didn't matter, before my Goz could pick up it's second token, it was taken out, with a structural crit otherwise ... it might have... just might have lived one more turn.

Ben's ISD as his scoop ship and through the course of the game it would pick up just two tokens.

Next our Demo's each went for each other's throat and generally giving each other pretty bad wounds. Next to fall however was Ben's Goz with Jer on it due to my Demo. At this point the two ISDs started to go head to head. ECM, Gunnary and DTT on one vs Vader, Intel, ECM and XI7 on the other. Next to fall Ben's Demo at the hands of my Arq. My Arq however didn't have much life left and it too would go down.

Ben's ISD with 8 Hull left, but no brace, facing my ISD activating first, would suffer 7 Dmg, and then take an 8th hit due to a ram to finish it off. Leaving just Ben's fighters and his last Goz, turn 6 went fast. The drama was, could his fighters put on enough damage to finish off my ISD?

Activating first, Vader, wasn't concerned with fighters, and took out Ben's last ship, landing on the station to go up to 4 Hull. Ben's fighters finishing off the round proceeded to do exactly 4 dmg, the last coming from a frikken TIE fighter (thanks Vassal dice) and good shooting to Ben!

Still with Demo still standing, 400 points to tgall. 301 + 75 for Ben. So 6-5 to tgall with 24 MoV. Vader gets to eat cold rations in his escape pod....

Miedomeda vs Lord Preyer just ended with a victory for me, we played most wanted and the end result is 9 -2, 389 to 141 with a MOV of 248.

On a side note it looks like the last match of pod 3, Miedomeda vs Green Squadron, is going to happen tomorrow evening, 8 pm GMT.

Zanos vs DabDarklighter ended in a 6-5 win with 33 mov for Zanos. I had first player using Dab's Targeting Beacons. Very well played by Dab, and a close match.

That said, there was some leeway for the Aussies last year because of the extreme time difference. The results were just not posted until the official start of the round.

So Ninja and I were supposed to play tonight but I had to reschedule again because my life is crazy right now. It's actually going to happen tomorrow night, though. 6 Central/7 Eastern--that is a half an hour ago.

I like lots of things, doesn't mean that I get them though.

I'm going to start the transition to the elimination games to give folks with some slightly bad schedule a better chance to get their games in. (Looking at you POD#1 / POD#8).

Solar Corona pratically guarantees that Dangerous Territory will never be played again. Because if you just don't know what to put in your blue objective slot, you may as well throw some Solar Corona.

You rate Solar Corona that highly?
I'd still take DT in a dodonna fleet, and I expect a lot of people enjoy invulnerability to obstacles while their opponents take crits for points.
