Okay... Radio Jedi is live! There isn't much on the site yet, just three posts. And one of those is just a reprint of the No Disintegrations press release.
But wow, it sure took long enough.
I picked up the domain radiojedi.com in 2013 when I first purchased Edge of the Empire from my Friendly Local Game Store™, Hero Complex Games. The intent was to do a running podcast about the game series – reviews, actual-plays, rules discussions – on a bi-weekly or monthly rotation. It never materialized, partially because my life went in all sorts of crazy directions for a little while, but mostly because I am, at the heart of it all, lazy.
Being lazy, I have opted not to make any overt promises concerning what is actually going to happen here. For instance, even though the name of the site has “radio” in it, and I have all the gear to produce a professional podcast, I may not podcast at all. On the other hand, if I can talk my game group into doing the occasional session without constant tangents (and hey, I’m just as guilty as anyone else at the table!), maybe we can do an ongoing live play campaign. Outside of that, you can expect the site to contain any supplements I put together, newly statted stuff (NPCs, weapons, ships, and so on), and reprints of FFG Star Wars RPG news and announcements.
Some of the first posts planned include PDFs I’ve created in the last three years. A useful list of NPC (or PC) names. A Bounty Hunter Nemesis creation packet similar to the Inquisitor section of Force and Destin y. A character phases worksheet yoinked with shameless abandon from Evil Hat Games’ excellent Dresden Files RPG .
And beyond? We’ll have to see. Certainly more supplements. Maps? Probably, since I do love making maps, even if most of my experience has been on the fantasy side of things. You’ll see dangerous figures from across a galaxy far, far away as well as new weapons, armor, and attachments for both.
And maybe – just maybe – a podcast.
