So i mainly got into Xwing/Armada because after playing 40k for so long i was tired of painting my minis. But i think its a shame the fighters are unpainted. So for a first attempt i painted the Ghost, or at least attempted to since its not the same sculpt. I noticed a lot of differences in the lines of the armor plating. So i had to improvise a bit but i think it turned out fairly well. Never, ever painted something this small...

Also i really need a new camera. Somehow my PHONE takes better pics of my models than my actual camera....

Aye, it's true about the hull plating too. The 'real' markings end up having to be free drawn and I'm not entirely convinced about the shape of some of them on the show ship vs. the model. I think they may have simplified something and changed an angle or two. As for the phone... yeah, I'm in the same boat. To tell you the truth, the only reason I use a digital camera over my far better phone is because my phone doesn't have a screw mount for a tripod while my camera does. That's it... phones are pretty good at this stuff.

The only fighter that scares me to paint is xwings. Xwings generally are the same color of the unpainted model with some highlighted panels and black engines....i really dont know how people manage to catch that on those tiny models lol.

Im one of...actually i think im the only rebel player so im not even bothering with my imps lol

edit: painting my ewings next and i got 6 of the 12 done. Have to admit it isnt anywhere near as hard as i feared it would be painting these tiny things as long as i get it out of my head that these arent suppose to be super detailed. I dont normally do "tabletop quality" paintjobs, i shoot for somewhere between that and showcase quality. These are just too small to give any detail, both because the model physically doesnt allow it and whos going to see that detail anyway lol theyre a dot on the board anyway. So im basically just trying to add some color so they dont vanish on the map lol
