geez i spent $30 for the campaign box set, and yes it was to cover costs of campaign rules development. but i thought it extremely disappointing to not get any fighter plastic pieces , and FFG just "expects" us to accept this and use our own.
sorry FFG , i think it was very low. i'm all about cost cutting, but i don't think plastic would have cost THAT much.
I'm sorry you're pissed off.
But its already pushing $50 CAD in its current format.
Anything more, and its almost out of reach.
I prefer the minimalist approach. You can go and get more pieces specifically for it, or you can use pieces you already own. It attempts to cater to more people that way.
Now you don't have to spend money on Squadrons you don't want if you don't like a faction.

I need more TIE fighter models for all those....
...wait. I don't need more TIE fighter models. With the ones that came in the Core Set, and the TIEs that came in the three Imperial Squadrons boxes, I really don't need any more TIEs. I'm drowning in the little bastards.
Wait, we've known this for about 6 months, did you really just figure it out when you opened the box? Also if there were models it would cost more and that's why there were none because the Squadron box costs $20 and the campaign box would be closer to $45. (American dollars)
Haven't picked up the campaign box so I'm not sure what FFG has done with this yet, but I liked the idea of space stations serving in some sort of combat role. Maybe add space station plastic pieces for static defense in certain scenarios?
Because we all need more TIE Fighter squadrons, right?
i will admit its a bit annoying having to sac one of my models for the new squads so i cant field 2 Y's + Gold + Norra w/o buying another squad box, but seeing as how NOTHING in that box is rebuy material (its literally all unique) i dont see why they'd put fighters in there.

If you don't like it, don't buy it. The box contents are listed on the back of the box, so read it before you buy next time.

I boughtt he Imperial Assault Core and never bought another piece....giving you cardboard tokens as units is.....meh
