You must be missing the pair of Mon Calamari cruiser classes?
At the very least, Assault Frigates are not monsters but they are still more powerful than Neb-B's and Blockade Runners, especially if run as pairs.

Edited by AegisI'm sorry, I don't mean to be an a** but have you watched the movies or even looked at the ships available too Armada? In the late stage of the war the Rebels had more then a few capital ships. Non quite as powerful as a ISD but still able to pack a punch when need be and out maneuver.
Honestly you need to spend sometime looking at the ships availbe and reading the rules book, maybe even try a test game at your local Game shop. An ISD does not just win the game for you. The game is largely devoid of uncounterable threats letting just about any fleet combo win the day when flown right (and a little luck).
I'm honestly not sure what this post is about anymore as your complaints feel like the are all over the place. In one breath you want a SSD that wrecks all, and in another you say the game can't possibly be Ballenced becouse ISDs never lose.
I have no idea what tone you want or what your looking for, but I can tell at least one thing... you really need to do some research.
Anyway, good luck.

I guess I just feel this game lacking epic style ships
And just dont get how game can be far all you got to do is run a few ISD and some victory class escort and rebels got no chance am sorry but I don't see the rebel fleet having any chance of dealing with that. In less game blance on fact rebels get lucky and hope
I thinks this game is not what I looking for in a fleet battle game guess all just pass

Pfft if us rebel players had no chance, i'd have quit a long time ago. I've destroyed every ship the Empire can field and if i haven't outright won, then more often then not i have fought my opponent to a draw. You might start by not flying directly at ISD/VSD opposition and letting them rake you with their forward arcs, for starters...
Haha!! The troll lvl here is just hillarious! It also appears the OP hasn't played the game.
Guys if Armada doesn't have Super Star Destroyers then it's dumb and I'm out. ISDs are a joke and not strong enough. Also, Imperials are too easy because ISDs are clearly overpowered. Also, I don't want Rebels to be able to win.
Retweet if you agree.
The rebels shouldnt be wining the lack ships to deal with ISD name one ship they have the deal with them bet you can't rebels main ships are cr90 and such size ship
No I just think it be cool to have SSD it would get me on board to try game
On a real topic of discussion: Rebel dreadnoughts. I'm thinking Katana-class dreadnoughts. Because Katana fleet.
I'd love to have Katana back in the Lore... But I'm really waiting for Zahn to get "Thrawn" out to see how much follows through.

But honestly. ImpStars are too tough for the Rebel players to beat with the crap FFG has released for them. Hopefully someday they will come to their senses and release a ship for the Empire that's 7 times the size of a ImpStar. Honestly, it's needed for game balance at this point, because the Rebels are too weak.
Edited by AegisI dunno... just today I had my ISD-II lose all of its shields when flying against Yavaris B-Wings with stacked Bomber Command Centers and Nora Wexley. This was also after I had thrown a group of TIE Advanced, Defenders, and Jendon backing Maarek Stele. So... I don't feel the Rebels have a problem with taking on big ships when their fighter game is so absurdly strong against capital ships.
Ten Numb has upped the game as well by cutting all 3-hull squadrons out of competition. All you need to do is ensure Ten can hit something three times, which is easy enough if you pack Adar Tallon and Yavaris. Throw Toryn Farr on there for better chances. In my game today, out of his attacks, Ten missed his ability only once.
So even if something bigger came out, the Rebels are going to take it apart by death of a thousand 1-3 point cuts and special shenanigans like Nora and APTs. Big ships need some way to handle small ships/squadrons better (or in the very least get more out of fewer squadrons) before they can be more useful than their high fighter rating. Bleh.
I think that people who are complaining about unbalanced between Imps and Rebel or missing the point that they are not supposed to being play the same way.
If you always try to confront a ISD in it's frontal arc with let say a MC80CC, whit your own frontal arc... This is maybe your own play, the biggest problem. If your strategy is not working, try something new, another approach.
I play both side and I win with both too.
This game is really complex (depend on your fleet composition, activation, modification, admirals, commandant, etc...) and I don't think there is a best side. Is the ISD the best ship if you only look at the stats? Maybe. But use in the wrong maner, you will lose it with all the point that it will cost you (and that alot of point).
What I really want it's a SSD and something equivalent on the Rebel side (like the Viscount-class). This way, the game will stay balanced.

There is no bad ships, only bad players ![]()
Everything in that game is there for a purpose. Some have less impact than others but they do something with the right context and can be really usefull.
Experiment... Play... Have some fun with your friends.

Lol. Saw he'd posted over there but didn't bother to read through it till you pointed me back there.

Dude.... a few ISDs and some victory? You know there are points values here, right? 400 point limit and an ISD takes over 100 of that each....
You have an opinion but you have no idea what you're talking about. The life of someone who has embraced the millennial mindset.
The Rebel counter to ImpStars is their sheer cost.
I just read through this guys X Wing thread. He's amazing. I'd go see him wax lyrical on wargaming at Comedy Store.
Giant ships might be fun to use as stationary or very slow moving objects in a battle. Give bonus or negatives to each side each and attacks. Increase game size perhaps to 6x6 size.
Wow, so much patience I see here in answers to trolling. Truly a Christmas spirit permeates this community. ![]()

1) He's trolling
2) Love the fact that you had to squeeze in a dig about millennials on a miniatures gaming forum. Especially since you are probably in the age range of the parents who RAISED the generation that they now love to complain about.
IMHO the Corelerain Conflict should have been the campaign inside a Super Star Destroyer Expansion.
funny that I have never lost a game of SWA using the reb forces
you just have to never be close and in front of a SD of any typ
