Using small bases from WH40k and sticking the stickers onto them, putting double sided tape on the bottom, laminating the CC map tomorrow... thoughts?
CC Sticker Solution?
velcro? Laminate the map have velcro exchangeable pieces. Glue velcro back on onto planet area were sticker would go.
Or magnetize as others have said.
I'm still in the process of figuring out what I want to do with it.
Could you take and post a picture of how it looks laminated? Where are you having it done, or are you doing it yourself?
Magnetize! Magnetize!
im probably going to laminate my map and use bits of velcro to tag things on.
I want to be able to roll it up, so i'd rather not attach it to a metal sheet, and enough magnets for all those stickers would be rather....annoying and can be slid around during pick up.
Main issue is finding a way to laminate my map. Its...quite a bit bigger than my tiny office laminater can do (which only does letter paper or smaller lol)

Staples or somesuch?
I was going to go search around tomorrow. There's a kinkos near me, office max, staples, etc.
I like the idea of velcro and will probably affix some to the bottoms of my sticker stands. I'm also going to paint some sealant on the stickers and stands so they dont "unstick" if the box gets too hot or something. I agree on the "not gonna magnetize" point. I have 2 kids under 2 and we're already running out of room. I live in Florida so garage storage/play is not an option.

I get a lot of stuff laminated at staples and their prices aren't typically bad.
Staples will laminate things for you?
Hmm, couldnt hurt. I go to one not too far from me a fair bit for misc stuff since its closer than Walmart for those things, and besides my computer chair ive never bought anything there other than generic office supplies
My friend and I are gonna stick them to the rebel and imp objective tokens(cuz we have way to many) then post-it sticky stuff on the map.
That's a brilliant idea!!! I'm doing this rigth now. I was cutting them to keep the sticker seal to is original surface but they where a little bit too light.
All those objectif tokens that I don't know what to do with them. Thank's Jukey

Agree, this is what I plan to do. Probably then use blu tac to attach.
Here's a variation on the magnetic idea, which would require a heavy-ish sheet of metal:
Embed washers in an extra cardboard backing under the places where the planets are.
It saddens me that we have to even come up withs solutions for replaying the campaign.
Huh, this is the first time Games Workshop has something over Fantasy Flight Games.
I would have happily paid double the price for a higher quality campaign box. I'm not buying a second one of these like they seem to want us to do, so it would be nice if I could have given them the money I'm giving to Kinkos and Home Depot.
A guy in our group had the same idea as Jukey, I did it to mine, got to say they look great!

Actually in the book they specifically state that you dont have to use the stickers if you want to replay it.

We don't have to. The stickers are a visual aid but not necessary. All the information conveyed by the stickers is also recorded on the Rebel and Imperial campaign rosters. The minimum that you need to do to replay the campaign is copy the roster sheets, or use a soft pencil the first time.
The benefit of stickers are portability, and resistance to tampering/accidents if the map is displayed in your FLGS or equivalent venue. I think FFG found a good balance between cost, accessibility, and replay value.
Personally, I'm thinking of getting a magnetic whiteboard for my games room and putting the stickers on metal washers. Blu-tac the paper map to the board, place washers as required. Simples.
I will most likely try to adhere the map magnet paper or just some sheet metal (work in a sheet metal shop), then glue the stickers down to some magnets.
Other idea would be to carefully cut where the stickers go out, spray paint some backer cork board black, put both in a frame and then adhere the stickers to thumb tacs. When the backer board is shot its easy enough to replace
At this point we are going to go to Lowes and get a 24x36 thing of sheet metal for 10 bucks and have them cut it in half to get 2 18x24 sheets, then go to target and get 2 18x24 poster frames for 8 bucks. Now to get staples to print the posters. going to put the stickers on magnets.

Will Staples scan/reprint the campaign map? Am I understanding that correctly?

They'll laminate it for you.

It is standard for them to ask you if you own the copywrite to reproduce the image. If you lie and say yes and get a young dude who is DGAF they will scan in reprint. If you get a copyright crusader or someone who is afraid big brother is watching and they will lose their job they will tell you that they can plainly see the image is copyrighted and will tell you they can't.

Yea, I knew lamination was simple, that's why I asked for clarification. Someone just used "print" instead of "laminate" in their comment.
