Anyone have stats for the Hammerhead Corvette?

By rogueranger1993, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I'm looking at acquiring stats for a Hammerhead-class corvette as seen in the Rebels TV series for use in an adventure I'm planning for my upcoming game. Does anyone have stats for it already, and if not, would someone be willing to work up a set of stats I can use?

Use a Corellian Corvette and change the turrets dfom Dorsal/ Ventral to Port/ Starboard. As it is an older design, maybe strip a point of speed, and reduce the shields by a bit and increase the handeling by 1

As a nod to the scene in Rogue One, You could consider bumping the armor by a point.

Or give the the Ram Plate Attachment

I'm sure they'll be along. Can't have something ram a star destroyer and push it into another without stats at some point.

Are you talking about one of these?

Just as a side note, the action of the adventure in the back of Force and Destiny takes place on the wreck of a hammerhead. It's a wreck but nonetheless has a nice floor schematic

No, that one is from the Old Republic, and is more of a frigate in size. The one I want to use is a newer one that first appeared in the Star Wars Rebels animated TV series, which places its first production run sometime around the start of Episode I by my guess. The new one is also a corvette (so silhouette 5), apparently designed for merchant use, and has been stated by Wookiepedia to be armed with three laser turrets only. There's been a whole series of Hammerhead ships, from KOTOR to SW:TOR, and now to Rebels - the problem is that they're almost always known as 'hammerhead' class ships for some reason, and besides the Thranta, they always seem to use the same name. <_< Sheesh...

I don't have Force & Destiny yet, I'll have to check that out once my wallet starts allowing me to spend exorbitant amounts of cash on all the Star Wars crap I so desperately desire to have. :P

One of the major things that the books bring up about why the Dreadnaught is considered horribly outdated is because it requires a huge crew for it's size, since older systems are just way more complex and require constant maintenance. It also has fewer shields but more armor than comparable newer ships. I think those are good rules of thumb for how to stat out old model ships.

Its weapons all have their Slow-Firing trait increased by 1 too.

Hm, didn't even notice that, but it makes sense. I mean it's always one of those weird things in Starwars, because if you've played Old Republic there is nothing in those games that makes you think you're using tech that's 2000 years out of date, but I guess in many ways it's all just slightly less efficient. Like, the advancement in technology in a century of Starwars is like the advancement of technology in a century of sailing ships. To the layman the difference between a 16th century ship and an 18th century ship is near impossible to tell, but there were still a lot of huge improvements in that time.

It is simpler to just make older things weaker, then have to try and figure out how things progressed over thousands of years.

if I was doing a Old Republic campaign, i would just use stuff from the sourcebooks, and give it a different name.
