Hey all

Most of my ships are now repainted in some way, but I didn't want to spam you all.

So here is my most recent work. Been making all my TIE ships more uniform (as the Empire should be)

When they (finally) arrive, the Strikers will be getting the same treatment.

For those in the UK who want to know how I got the consistent grey, I used the Wilko matt grey spray paint. Then used Games Workshop nuln oil as an all-over wash and then their greys to drybrush up to a highlight. Also used a very light grey (ulthan) to pain certain little details to make them stand out a little.

Those cockpit canopies look great!!

Cheers! I really enjoy doing them so even if I don't repaint a ship that much (like the red defender) I'll at least do canopies and engine glow.

These are perfect! Lots of subtle details that really help bring them to life. Now I want to see the rest of your Imperials!

My scum are slowly turning into the red and white faction. My Rebels are either red or blue markings, again to match for lists.

Very nice. That engine glow on the Y-wings tho'... so good.

As I'l be running a lot a diff lists with Howlrunner for the foreseeable future, I wanted a TIE to be 'hers', so I did a few little things to one of them.

Just enough for her to stand out to me as I play with multiple Ties. Not enough to be OTT or drastic.

Not painting this time (Strikers and Us should arrive by this weekend, probably next week), but I tried my hand at something else:

A dice tray!

For those in the UK, it is a 15x15cm, 1"-deep frame from Hobbycraft. I had some large squares of red felt already, so just stretched one tight over the backing board, cut it smaller and then glued it. Once you get the backing board back in it's very tight anyway. Pretty happy with it.

That's brilliant - did a 3d-print dice tower for my game-mad niece & her boyfriend for xmas, but the dice still occasionally escape across the boards...this would be an excellent addition!

Yeah it's literally just a £6 frame and some felt. They do them in white and plain wood too, so if you wanted to laser-etch or just paint it differently you could. I like the simple black/red though.

Finished painting my U-Wing and Strikers! Like the Strikers even more now that they fit my Imperial look. I feel the U-Wing looks better a little darker and dirtier too. I have another on the way so will give that a different set of markings to make it look cool.

Haha yeah. For me it was the least exciting of the two, and then I started making lists with it and had to grab 1 (and then ordered a 2nd). And now after painting it I really need to use it ASAP.

Still giddy over the Strikers though, but then I'm Imperial trash.

2nd U-Wing arrived this morning, just finished it. Based it on the one Bistan is in in the film. There was a HQ pic of it from Battlefront that helped with reference.

Nothing to paint now till the rest of Wave 10 hits

I return! I have not painted anything in ages (other games have taken up my desk space), but with a few new lists rattling around in my head, I decided to give an old ship a new look:

A friend of mine wanted one of his Arcs repainted in the classic Clone Wars scheme, so I obliged for him.

That is one nice looking arc. Are you free handing the shark face with a brush or pen, looks great either way.
