Don't think I can actually pick up my copies until tomorrow, but it still calls for celebrations!

I am waiting for my call from my FLGS. I pre-ordered when they had their annual customer appreciation sale, and now I wait...
I will have to harass my store. The track record for Armada releases is... poor. Typically week after 'street date'. Although to defend them, I'm the only idiot buying the product.
X Wing on the other hand, that's always in on the street date unless they had shipping issues with their carrier (UPS/FedEx).
Excited! tomorrow is going to be a fun day of opening things!
My friend at the LGS called me to tell me to come friday to pick up my stuff!
there goes my x-mas money
I am getting on Arquitens and giving away the cards to whomever is at the store at the time I purchase it.
My FLGS is CoolStuff. I'm expecting an email after 9:00pm to come pick up my stuff tomorrow.

Pretty similar situation. X-wing is the FFG game of choice in the store, and everything is in high enough demand to be bang on release day. Armada is small fry for them. It's pretty much just two or three people buying whatever they get in. I've pre-ordered some Wave 5 stuff from them, but there isn't even a date on it yet. Actually, the flotillas I ordered a few weeks ago haven't even arrived, now that I think of it.

I'm pleased that at least some international retailers will have the product in time for the holidays!

Where do I need to be for that gig? LOL!

They don't open until 11 though so you might have a hard time getting in the door at 9! =P

Wow, opening at 11pm? That's rather rare.
On a related topic to the OP, I was hosting an X-Wing tournament this weekend. X-Wing had a release last week - I think Friday was the scheduled release date for the TIE Striker and the U-Wing - to coincide with the movie (or my dates are wrong, but the point remains). The host-store owner was complaining that some other stores were releasing product sooner, and getting the sales as a result. I'm pretty sure my home store was among them, as I had received an earlier phone call that my pre-ordered TIE Strikers were in.
I wonder if that's a function of not being aware of the release-date rules, or taking advantage of the release-date rules by breaking them. Also, do stores also break those rules (consciously or not) in communities where there is no real competition from other stores, aside from the online retailers. On the one hand, it creates a competitive advantage if there is competition, but it also means that there's someone with an incentive to inform FFG or the distributor of the cheating.

11? I thought it was noon? Maybe it's different at their different stores? Either way I won't be able to get up there till after work tomorrow.

I also pre-ordered those 2 X-Wing ships and got a call last Wednesday that they were in and available, hoping for the same this week. AFAIK the only product FFG has had a hard street date on was the TFA Core Set, due to Disney's Force Friday hoopla, and Amazon sending stuff out a 1-1.5 week early on the Shadowcaster wave of X-Wing stuff. I think they will let FLGS sell stuff when it arrives, as it is usually lands in store no more than 0-2 days before release date.
I don't think there are any hard rules over here: LGS can sell stuff as soon as they get it from distributor. Wave 3/4 was almost two weeks late by comparison.
FFG has stringent rules.
But Enforcement of rules varies from Country to Country.
If you're not in the US, you're not directly responsible to Fantasy Flight.
So for one, you get away with a lot more, and two, it may not be legal to enforce.
FFG doesn't condone that.

Seriously. I'd show up for that.
Why wouldn't you want the cards?
I'm UK and I have mine arriving by mail tomorrow! Happy days!
1 x Pelta
2 x Arquittens
2 x each squad
1 x CC
Tomorrow will be 2 of everything for the new wave and one CC box... and a lot of reading about the CC rules ![]()
And I will need more paint for those new squadrons!
My family is buying me CC and Wave V for Christmas so I cant open it till Christmas day. I may stay off the forums till then just so I have some surprises Christmas day when I see the last few un-spoiled cards.
I think I've still got enough for CC (tax is questionable though...)...
And waiting on paypal transfer clearance to get anything else... Was commissioned to do Imperial Fighters II...
I meant 11 am, not 11 pm you humans are so funny!
