With a couple vtx100's in the squadron attack, could Yavaris sit back (a lifeboat or a trailer) and relay double taps?

Two vcx's cost 30 pts, but you can forego fct and wing commander, knocking 6 pts off. Jan would be required, as they would have huge target on their backs.

You could do it and aren't we all thankful the rebel relay squadron only has relay (1).

True. Some people think Yavaris is destined to die every game. This could keep it alive and save the 60+ points from falling into the enemy hands.

You'd also get the extra vcx brnefits. Think mine field with moving mines.

Yep. And the VCX stats aren't too bad - 8 hull for 15 points!
