2-handed/player, cooperative, tribal/thematic decks

By OlorinCZ, in Strategy and deck-building

In this tread I will post my 2-handed/player, cooperative, tribal/thematic decks.

I try to use just the thematic cards and to use as little as possible in more than one deck. So they can be paired for 4-player games of be kept "build" all together.

FYI, ringsdb.com has a feature where you can combine up to 4 decks in a single fellowship, very convenient for stuff like this :) .

I know, but I find a deckbuilder here more handy and easy-to-use. ;)

ROHAN

'Now is the hour come, Riders of the Mark, sons of Eorl! Foes and fire are before you, and
your homes far behind. Yet, though you fight upon an alien field, the glory that you reap there
shall be your own for ever. Oaths ye have taken: now fulfil them all, to lord and land and league
of friendship!

GONDOR

Believe not that in the land of Gondor the blood of Númenor is spent, nor all its pride and dignity forgotten. By our valour the wild folk of the East are still restrained, and the terror of Morgul kept at bay.

NOLDOR

And here in Rivendell there live still some of his chief foes: the Elven-wise, lords of the Eldar from beyond the furthest seas. They do not fear the Ringwraiths, for those who have dwelt in the Blessed Realm live at oncein both worlds, and against both the Seen and the Unseen they have great power.

SILVAN

`Perilous indeed,' said Aragorn, 'fair and perilous; but only evil need fear it, or those who bring some evil with them. Follow me! '

Outlands + Caldara

We heard of the horns in the hills ringing,
the swords shining in the South-kingdom.
Steeds went striding to the Stoningland
as wind in the morning. War was kindled.

Small stones start an avalanche (Hobbit - Ent decks)

http://ringsdb.com/fellowship/view/4456

“Side? I am on nobody's side, because nobody is on my side, little orc.”

'My dear Frodo!' exclaimed Gandalf. 'Hobbits really are amazing creatures, as I have said before. You can learn all that there is to know about their ways in a month, and yet after a hundred years they can still surprise you at a pinch.'

Hobbit-deck stays in secrecy (Merry's job) and quests. And Hobbits sing along the way (some songs included). Ent-deck rages in anger. Elrond primarily for defense. If threat strats to be a problem, Folco can go.

Come, my friends. The Ents are going to war . It is likely that we go to our doom ... the Last March of the Ents!

Lonely guardians (Dunedain two-player decks)

Thematical/Tribal Dunedain Two-player decks.

"Few now remember them... yet still some go wandering, sons of forgotten kings walking in loneliness, guarding from evil things folk that are heedless."

Le/Ta deck engages all enemies. I found it quiet easy to keep engaged with 1 or 2 enemies and the benefits woth it (Heroes and Heir). Dunedain Hunter i sexcellent for small enemies with surge. You dont have to worry about threat (Aragorn + Alliance) and you can use doomed cards and HoEarendil for full potencial. I usually start with Rally the west. Halfling Bounders cancelation is excellent. Overall powefull and thematic decks.

Wide wonder came into Eomer’s eyes. ‘Strider is too poor a name, son of Arathorn,’ he said. ‘Wingfoot I name you. This deed of the three friends should be sung in many a hall. Forty leagues and five you have measured ere the fourth day is ended! Hardy is the race of Elendil!’
