I'm looking forward to the new ships whenever they arrive. Still have lots of other ships to learn.

Well, the local regional here will be on February 4th, so I predict the wave will hit the stores end of january, followed by a FAQ update on the 3rd, just to make things interesting

I do believe at one point a preview article read along the lines of "Rogue One ships will be released along with" the rest of the ships, indicating they were planned on being released together.

This very well might be true but I'm pretty sure they said the same about ep. VII ships.

they said the Striker and the u-wing would be out by the movie and the rest of the wave would be 1st quarter 2017 so it wouldn't be delayed unless they come out after March.

I mean, there are people with physical copies of all of Wave X out there - so they've been released somewhere, in some form or another.
