anyway to legally get 8 attack dice in a 100pt match?

Well next month the up shuttle will let you throw 7 dice but and dish out 9 damage per turn. I would run it with a budget ace with auto thruster or ion engine to give it a ton of greens. (Plus something like ruthless would allow for more damage output without needing to roll)

Until you can get 8 dice on a turret I will not fear it. Just to many ways to arc dodge the mega shot.

Chewie and prototypes say hello.

So do Deci with swarm of ties.

And Jumpmaster with scyks.

(first two could even be viable - especially decimator)

7 dices, 8 at range one is nothing new.


But what about 7-8 full modded dice? Most probably 7-8 hits...

And not for only one shoot (like the cool hand and others combos).

Shara take a TL and a focus, and Jan change the focus into a evade.

Ahsoka take an evade and 2 focus (thanks to RS), so she can give an extra action to Norra.

Norra take a TL + Focus




When Norra shoot, she spend the two evades of her "wingwomen", spend her TL for an eye, and Finn give a blank.

3 (base) + 2 (swarm leader) + 1 (eye) + 1 (blank) +1 (at range 1), and she still can use her focus and the Shara TL for modding all the dice.




R2-D2, Recon Specialist and R5-K6 are non essential for this trick, so you could play with 9 points for an even greater effect if you can find a way. I just think they are 9 good points for the ships in general (regen for Norra, and dice mod for Shara and Ashoka).

Chewy with Finn and a TL = 4-5 red dice
Swarm leader with A-wing or Sabine's tie = 2 extra red dice.
Change one the above for a cool handed Jans Ors = 3 extra red dice one turn, 2 the others.

And the cost is 77 points at minimum, lots of space to improve.

So chewy could turret with even 8 red dice with reroll (average 6 hits) at range 1. Maybe not so strong as the Norra above, but in 360º
In the empire side a deci could put as far 7 reliable hits in the table (with lots of crits).

Deci = 3 red dice
Range 1 = 1 red dice
Swarm leader = 2 red dice
Vader = 1 auto crit
So you could TL with 6 red dice and change one eye result for a crit and one other result into another crit.
Of course you can change TAPS for cheaper TIES, but there is few field for improve the Deci, and the TAPs are far more resistant and dangerous than normal TIEs.
