Well, tomorrow is the day where I find out if all my preparation and board-cutting pays off! (My hands are extremely sore).
Now, as I'm sure many of you have seen in my previous posts - I have a group of 5 people ready. Most of which are not well-versed with the upgrades.
My question is this:
is there a chart/spreadsheet/summary of the upgrades that would be quicker for them to look through? I was about to compile this myself but thought I'd check if anyone else has done it first. This is not the most important thing, but I am trying to streamline the process as much as possible so that the Campaign makes a good first impression on the group.
And as a secondary question, related to the first: how do people feel about selling upgrades? Could it work like Imperial Assault where they're worth half of their cost, rounded down?
Thanks!
HotAC: Upgrade Summary/Spreadsheet?
Don't know about a spread sheet. We just used the cards and squad builders for the upgrades.
I'm against selling upgrades. I'm sort of a purist when it comes to games like this. Not being able to sell upgrades should make the player think about his purchases. I say should because some players don't get the idea of the game. It's not about kills or points or upgrades but beating the Imperials. This is also why I'm against using ships that aren't in the original line-up. It makes the game too "winnable" for the Rebels.
All the scenarios are beatable but the Rebels must work together to do it. No Lone Wolf types. I've run several scenarios where the players didn't coordinate actions and movements and lost BADLY.
When it comes to torpedoes and mods etc I do allow storage but not sales. So if you buy ion torps then later decide you want plasma torps you just write them both on the back of the card and decide each mission which one you would like to take. I do not allow this with epts though as they are skills so it makes no sense to put them in storage.
