Recommendations for fun missions

By Bojanglez, in X-Wing

Tomorrow my X-Wing buddies and I are meeting way earlier to have some pre-Christmas X-Wing fun and plan on trying out a few new formats, one of which is missions - so, having never played any of them I was hoping to get a few recommendations on which ones are really good fun.

All ships and missions are available so it's more about which ones are the most fun and engaging

The one from Imperial Aces is a lot of fun. One ship gets to grab pickups that make it super ship.

I really enjoyed the one from the Punishing One pack - Mission 16: Payback (http://xwing-miniatures.wikia.com/wiki/Mission_16:_Payback). One player flies a fully loaded Dengar with no other ships at all. The other player gets to bring a 100 point squad that contains at least 4 ships. To balance the scales, Dengar gets to put three "microjump" tokens on the board. At the end of any round, Dengar can drop all his tokens (including stress!) and teleport (ahem, I mean, "make a hyperspace microjump") to one of the microjump tokens and remove it from the board. This makes for a fascinating cat-and-mouse game of a single hyper-maneuverable super ship versus a squad that outnumbers it four to one. The only thing that I suspect might wreck this mission is if the Rebel player brings a turret-heavy list like quad TLT. Also, Dengar should probably not be allowed to bring Zuckuss, given the free stress removal he has access to.

Pretty sure you just have to yell, "Hey! Chadwick!"

Love it, thanks for the suggestions!
