Can "Relay" Squadron Activate itself off relay?

By Trizzo2, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

I use a Squadron Command 2 on a Gozanti. I decided to use a Relay Squadron well outside range 1-5.

Can I use Relay to move a Lambda Shuttle by using it's own Relay ability?

If yes can I move my Relay Squadron and then use the second command via relay to reach a squadron that is now in Range 1-3 post finishing movement?

yes, it can activate itself. Note cards like howlrunner and dengar that specifically say "another" friendly squadron.

Since you choose when to do your move/shoot action, you can pass that attack along to another squadron if it is in range post movement.

What modise said.

Thus, when Jendon is paired with a powerful squadron (say, Maarek Stele), the following becomes possible:

-Gozanti (all the way across the table) uses Squadron command

-Activates Stele using Relay; which moves to the target and attacks it

-Activates Jendon using self-Relay; Jendon moves next to Stele and makes him attack the target again

-Rinse/repeat each subsequent turn (as long as neither ace is engaged or blown up)

Jesus, that's harsh.

I just found my new favorite thing to do.

Remember you are playing 40+ points to do that so I don't think it's OP'd.
