How does everyone feel about the Special Forces? Does anyone use it commonly, or even like the ship? I personally love that Special Forces. It's never let me down yet and has always managed to pull its weight in a match.
TIE Special Forces?
I like it a lot. Haven't played with it very much though.
I am a big fan of Quickdraw/Accuracy Corrector. Also I have seen Backdraft do pretty well.
Whenever I play, if I run two I run Zetas with Spec Ops Training, and Lightweight Frame. If I fly just one, it's Backdraft with Spec Ops, Lightweight Frame, Clusters (depending on team points), Accuracy Corrector and Outmaneuver
I feel like adv. sensors are are a must, a lot of red in the dial. They die quickly, so run them cheap. Backdraft, sensors, title, VI is my way to go.
There is a list with Backdraft and Quickdraw with FCSses, Homing Missiles and guidance chips plus Omega leader. Rest of the points go to pattern analyzers and VI's.
I suspect Lightweight Frame will be a very nice card for it, as well, once people can lay their hands on it.
- Quickdraw - Special Forces Training, Expertise, Fire Control System, Sensor Clusters, Lightweight Frame
- Backdraft - Special Forces Training, Wired, Collision Detector, Primed Thrusters, Lightweight Frame
- Omega Leader - Juke, Comms Relay, Stealth Device
The following build has been quite a success in my local meta. I'd like to see what you guys think of her:
Quickdraw
- Expertise
- Sensor Jammer
- Lightweight Frame
- Primed Thrusters or Pattern Analyser (depending on how many points I can spend on the slot)
- Special Forces Training
Yes, she's expensive at 40, BUT she ends up having Defender stats, a VERY offensive ability, versatile firing options, a high pilot skill, and decent defence through her ability to change hits to focuses and potentially arc dodge out of firing arcs (even after red maneuvers like her 3-sloops).
