This game never gets dull

By JerusalemJones, in Battlestar Galactica

It's been well over a year now since BSG came out, and it is by far the most popular game to by played by our group and our store's customers (as far as board games go, that is). Tonight I am watching another group play the game, and last night we played another great game. Back in April we started tracking our human vs. cylon wins, and we played our 100th tracked game on Dec. 31st. And I know we missed recording a few in there.

Thanks FFG for creating one amazingly great game!

So whats your tally?? My group is up to about 60 now with only one legit victory for humans. I would be really interested to know.

Glad you like the game so much, so do I

Jones is right : thank you Corey. Great game. Keep on the good work. Makes me never stop from loving FFG ONLY.

It's true, FFG games never gets dull (except Descent). So far the only thing that FFG bugged me is scrapping Doom and continuing Descent, which I reckon Doom is a lot better than Descent. Battlestar Galactica and the others games are never dull though, specially the Galactica (so far all my games I'm a cylon... somehow)

Amen. I love this game, though I think I've played it a few too many times this holiday season. I've probably played about 30 sessions over the last year with different groups of players. The humans have never won easily; each time it happens it always comes down to the wire. I'd say out of 30 games, the humans have won 6-7 times. That's probably because I like to play with different groups since the game loses its appeal once you know exactly how to handle every situation and how your friends play as cylons. I had a crazy game the other night with 5 players who had never played before but loved the show (which is something I find essential for group enjoyment) and they had a blast. There were a ton of twists and unexpected events (including a risky execution that paid off, the most trusted 'human' player at the table revealing himself as a cylon and the guy who played colonel Tigh wanted to be in character so he was constantly being rude and abrasive so we tossed him in the brig even though he wasn't a cylon. Anyway after that I think I'm done for a month or so, but I still love this game. It has its flaws and I think it's not quite the perfect board game of all board games, but it's definitely tied for me with twilight imperium (which would be the best board game if it didn't take so long).
