I've had two boxes...

8 in one... 9 in the other (FO Stormtrooper, FO Tie, Infantry Grenades, Rey's Staff, BB-8, Jedi Robes).

It's disappointing when 25% of my pulls have been useless.

How's everyone's luck? I might have to rethink future purchases based on this data (e.g., just one starter box).

i still only have 1 rey's staff, along with 2 BB-8's, 2 First order Tie (both of which came from 2 kylo starters) 3 Jedi robes, but i did manage get get an additional 3 Immobilize on top of the 2 from the 2 Kylo starter packs

other than that i've been pretty good with a spread, only really been seeing a lot of Ackbars, Bala-tik, Nightsisters and Dooku (meaning i pulled 4 or 5 out of 3 boxes i opened)

I haven't been hard tracking, but for me I would say 1-3 per box would be about right.

For the next 2 sets we are boosters only so the distribution should be fairer, I would then hope with the complaints about the starter only cards, the next set with starters will see a great improvement in things.

For me the most hated part isn't that you get starter rares in boosters, rather it is that you don't get all the starter rares in boosters: Of those 14 cards that are only available in the starters and some of them being 1 per starter. So you are being pushed to buy 2+ Starters.

However, some of the starter rares, the ones that you are least likely to want duplicates of are then in the boosters and the ones that you may enjoy duplicates of are not in the starters at all. If the cards in the starters were all randomly available then at least some of the rubbish ones would have been some other card like Awakening, Power of the Dark Side, Lightsaber, Mind Probe, Use the Force, Force Throw, Star Ship Graveyard or Frozen Wastes.

If you were to draw 9 starter rares in a box, wouldn't BB-8, Rey's Staff, Awakening, Power of the Dark Side, Lightsaber, Mind Probe, Use the Force, Star Ship Graveyard or Frozen Wastes be far less of a bite?

I do agree on that... let you have a chance of pulling cards in the starters in booster packs!

2 jedi robes, 2 Reys staff, 2 TIES, i've probably bought about a box and a half. I've been fairly lucky. It's a very bad move that they are in boosters IMO

Yeah, it's not fun pulling a starter. Think it's fair though. Think of not having any starters, or of knowing you can buy another starter to guarantee a card.

You could just buy singles to fill out decks. You pay either way. You pay for more cards at the cost of randomness; or you pay for guarteened cards at the cost of price.

Storm trooper, grenades, BB-8, Rey's staff,and a TIE. Mind you that's from about a box (sealed) and a half (loose packs)

I think my box only had the first 3. I was happy enough with the storm trooper and I can forgive the grenades and TIE.

So there are 7 starter rares that can be gotten in boosters out of the 43 rares in the set. That means that approximately 1:6 rares from boosters will be a starter box rare.

With 30 rares (and 6 legendries) making up a booster box, you can statistically expect to open 5 starter set rares in your boosters.

8-9 from a single box is pretty awful, but for those who only got 3 or less per box should be very grateful, the fact that the made unique cards among this group of rares is what makes it particularly frustrating to most.

I bought 2 boxes and got one of each except for Jedi Robes of which I got none.

8 for me from one box. It's demoralized me enough I'm not going to buy any more packs from this set.

They should have done what dicemasters did: make the ones from the starters different. (maybe keep the dice the same but have different abilities/costs on the card.) Or have elite versions of the starter characters.

One of my rares at the pre-release party was Reys, I got 2 more staffs in my box (along with 2 BB8 and a FOTrooper for a total of 5 dupes), and I found a FLGS with 2 boosters in stock got them both for 2 more Rey's staff's. THAT was the most disappointing moment I have had in a long time.

You aren't playing without a starter, possible yes but who seriously skips the starter all together, so I don't need those in my randoms.

people that don't care about what's in them

for instance someone that doesn't want to make any decks consisting of blue and will stick strictly to yellow and red decks.

they will have zero use for lightsabers, power of the darkside, awakening, mind probe and force throw.

if they wanted the exclusive red villain gun (F11-D rifle), they can find it on the secondary market and probably for $2-5 each which is much better than shelling out $40. especially if they're on a tight budget

I have pulled so many it's it feels like it's not even funny. - please don't do this again FFG.

I even had a Displaybox with only 10 Characters, with 2 of them being Leia, and 2xStormtroopers.

It was also a really wierd display box as it was completely messed up with dice-to-card matching, and after tallying up the cards/dices, I found that I had a Diplomatic Immunity card with a IQA-11 die,

Beyond that, I love the game, just feels a little bit like something was rushed in those display boxes!

I still haven't had a single Nightsister, Padawan, Bala-tik, padme, Infiltration, Scout, Jetpack or Holdout blaster, - but I have 8x On the Hunt, and 6x Leias, 5 Jango Fetts (which at least is easy to trade these days:))
