Director Krennic: Admiral or Officer?

By LordTesla, in Star Wars: Armada

I think he should be a commanding officer. And have something fairly oddball like cost 15 points, gives you a 15 point Bid, no matter what your Fleet cost is.

Or you could just not take him and still have a 15 point bid?

Officer. If we get an ISD I, Thrawn should be the commander we get with it.

The game requires you to have a commander.

Right but you said commanding officer so it seemed like you meant the officer slot, not the commander for your fleet.

Interesting how different people read the same thing and come to different conclusions. When I read it I was sure that he was talking about the commander, but after reading your comment with the highlight officer I can see where someone would go to the officer slot.

Well commander and officer are both defined key words in Armada. Adding the adjective "commanding" doesn't take away from "officer" as the noun, and thus they key word.

That's how I read it.

As a speech pathologist, I'll confirm that the medical definition of "aspiration" does often get used in connection with respiratory dangers, it actually means to pull something into your airway/lungs. In short, "choke on" was obviously meant as a grim pun, but I doubt Vader meant to use "aspiration" as another breathing pun, because it wouldn't really make sense.

Honestly, Vader's pun really wasn't as bad as it was made out to be.

Exactly! Vader joked in Empire Strikes back as well.

Captain Needa "I will apologize to Lord Vader, personally."

Cut a few scenes later, Needa choking falls dead to the floor

Darth Vader "Apology accepted Captain Needa"
