Hello all

I am typically a Scum/Imperial player, but the new movie has me with new found motivation to try out the Rebel side of the war. Yesterday I had a pretty fun time with this list:

Poe Dameron (36)

- BB-8

- Veteran Instincts

Blue Squadron Pathfinder (29)

- Fire-Control System

- Jyn Erso

- Cassian Andor

- Pivot Wing

Thane Kyrell (35)

- R2-D2

- C-3PO

I really liked Thane in the Arc-170 and the Pathfinder worked pretty well. In my limited experience, Poe seemed the weakest link (though in fairness my opponent focused on him and took him down over a couple rounds).

I was wondering what the great people on this forum thought about the above list, and also what they think about this one, since it is the one I'm thinking of modifying things to:

Thoughts? Am I going to regret having Miranda in Poe's place? Is it better to just bite the bullet and get Heroes of the Resistance for a better, upgraded Poe? I love the idea of flying these three 'big' ships together. In your experiences, does a configuration such as this offer enough damage output?

I'm hoping I have focuses, target locks and the occasional evade most of the time with the supportive abilities of the chosen crews.

Poe can be good without HotR, but you're flying him really light. He usually wants R2-D2 and PTL, or R5-P9, if he has VI. While there is nothing wrong with BB-8 and VI, you're really wasting his potential.

I think that, if you can't field that Poe, or want to leave Thane as he is, then trading him for Miranda is the better idea.

Wanted to mention, my previous game was against two defenders and inquisitor. Poe was able to get three hits off on the defender before being neutralized. My opponents ships targetting Poe allowed Thane to get extra actions barrel-rolling into range one with focus and target lock on the already hurt defender... finishing it off. Fun trade ^^

Do you know if Thane's free actions allow him to perform the same actions (ie. two free barrel rolls?)

Edit: I think I just found that answer out... no two same actions in the same round
