Given that Stormtroopers achieve TPK in this one, I guess we can no longer mock "stormtrooper marksmanship."
Rogue One: Revenge of the Stormtrooper (spoilers)
Most of the work was done by the Death Troopers, which are called out as superior to "ordinary" stormtroopers in Rogue One: Ultimate Visual Guide, and other sources.
Edited by IronlordMovie accuracy went from non-existent to marginal.
Except they still get totaly outclassed by one blind guy with a stick.

Yeah but he's like a Kung Fu Jedi Master... I also think the inverse proportional ninja rule may apply.

So he's Asian Rahm Kota?
Kanan also seems to fill the Rahm Kota role in a different way.

It takes 50 of them to get a droid, and they only get another guy because they throw a grenade into a ship. Yup, definitely scarier.
Not everyone can be the 501st or Blizzard Force.
Has anyone run across anything that talks about what the various trooper armor was in R1? There were the classic white trooper armor, but there was also some tan armor and such.

Shore Troopers

Cool helmet, they also piloted the AT-ACT's I think
Edited by Dagonetso how come the shore troopers get to have all those colored bands and stripes on their armor?
Is it a clone-storm trooper transitional period union thing?
Imperial commander: "As of now, there will be no more color coded armor for the storm troopers. All armor must be white and black. So no more red arc troopers and green scouts or whatnot. Understood!"
Storm trooper Union rep: "Actually it sais in the rules that at least 10% of the total storm trooper forces must be allowed to wear armor marked with different bands of color and..."
Imperial commander: "Gaaah! Ok! Fine! The, let's see, coastal troopers shall be allowed to retain this practice. And your armor can be off white or tan. Happy now?!"
Storm trooper Union rep. "Yes! another victory for the Union!"
The troopers on Tatooine have a red pauldron
Weren't those orange?
That said, I'm pretty sure that in Rebels , both orange and red pauldrons, with the colors visually distinct, have been seen, as well as white and black.
As of R1 I'm thinking orange (red) pauldron means police duty/population control.
The troopers on Tatooine have a red pauldron
White and Orange were for NCOs. Orange was reused for Imperial Marines, but Red was an addition to Incinerator Troopers.
White and black pauldrons are enlisted units (I think white is enlisted, black NCO), orange is a unit leader (they are very vague, it seems more like a title then an actual rank), and red is an officer I believe.
EDIT: I have white and black mixed up (black enlisted, white NCO). Red is also Stormtrooper Grenadier, not officer. There's also a blue which is for snipers.

Edited by YwingAceNCOs are enlisted...
NCOs are enlisted...
I know, that's what makes them an "NCO". But they have different pauldrons. It's easier to say enlisted and then NCO versus, any non-NCO enlisted person wears white.
Point is: there were colours. Loads of them. A veritable rainbow.
Is it just me or was Scarif the best posting a storm trooper could get? Nice weather, awesome beaches and it's a top secret facility so little chance of getting in combat*.
Compare it to, let's say, tatooine wich is hot, sandy, and you'd better turn a blind eye to what the Hutt cartell was doing if you knew what's good for you. And don't even get me started on what artic hellholes that snow troopers had to go to.
I'll take the tropical paradise data storage planet, thanks!
* yeah that didn't work out so well.
"Great News! you're being transferred out of the Tatooine Garrison!"
"Finally. Anywhere is better...."
"You're being posted to a Swamp Trooper battalion."
"...Really?"
Wetland Assault troopers had some sweet gear, Flechette cannons for everyone.

Was it top secret though? I didn't get that feeling really.
And backwaters like Scarif is where you put the incompetent, the recuperating, the dead enders and the expendables. If yoy want a career you don't want to be there.
