The girlfriend and I want to go see Rogue One together. We were going to see it Friday but she had to stay late at work. No big deal. Saturday she was supposed to have off but her boss called her in. Same with Sunday. Hopefully she will actually have the day off Monday. I am very tempted to go to the Dark Side and see it while she is at work but we agreed to see it together.

Stay strong my friend. I can't go see it with the family (it's tradition we all go see it together in the theatre) until Tuesday night, due to all the scheduling. You can do this.

In the meantime you can play X-wing with the GF if you really need an X-wing fix.

I feel your pain. I am deployed with the military, and I won't be able to see it for a few months until it hits the MWR (second run) theaters. So I want to keep up on X-Wing, but hints of Rogue One are coming out in the discussions. It is a fine line I am trying to walk! I don't mind hearing about ships and stuff that make an appearance as long as I don't see plot points. We all knew there were going to be space battles from the title! I still cannot wait.

I've seen many FB A-holes just deliberately posting massive spoilers (as in every event in the movies) in anything related. I really do not understand what makes them tick- do they get some perverse pleasure in hurting people they've never met? Does it give them some sort of power trip?

I'm very happy that this forum is full of decent people who restrict spoilery stuff to specific threads (even though I've already seen it).

I had plans to see it Friday that were completely undone by my commuter train being delayed. Instead of seeing it together, my wife and mother had to come pick me up at a random train station.

After getting home in a very foul mood, I bought tix to a 1-hour later showing at a different theater and saw it Friday anyways*, for all of the above reasons. Me mum didn't go, and the 1st theater was kind enough to give us rainchecks on all 3 tix to come back later. Hence, I am obliged to see it again this week with Mum

*Which turned my Friday night around, disposition-wise.

I hope your GF is a doctor or firefighter or something where if she doesn't go to work, people die. Because otherwise her boss is just being _evil_.

Got to see it today, also delayed due to family obligations.

The risk here is people unintentionally spoiling it while posting how K2SO or whichever character might be great or worthless doing certain things ingame because it/she/he does or does not things in the R1 movie.

My director sagely decide our team's Christmas get together would be to go to Rogue One (we did TFA last year). Sadly, we couldn't make it work opening night this time, so a large group of us are going tomorrow!

Seeing it tonight with the wife - then I can venture forward into all the other threads.

I've played with the U-Wing expansion, and aside from having some character names I don't think anything was really spoiled. Their game abilities don't tell me too much about what they do in the movie (or don't do), and therefore it seems relatively safe.

Go on a secret mission and watch it alone if she cancels on you again. This way when you see it with her you can watch her reactions to things like "SPOILERS" which may make them even better for you the second time around.
