Hera and the U-Wing.

So I just realized that if you put Hera into a U-wing, you can stay still forever, while still being able to turn around if you don't like sitting in a corner. Combine that with FCS and Ezra, and you have the ultimate castle ship. You could even pretend it is an orbital defense platform...

Am I late to the party or has no one else posted about this in the forums?

But a B-wing does not have a 0-speed move (it needs to K-turn), nor does it have 2 defense dice (well, if you want to turn around you need to have 1 die, but still).

But why? The title sais that when you do a 0 move, you may rotate 180 degrees while having 1 agility. It does not forbid you from using the 0 move at 2 agility, you just can't turn around...

Being at 2agi doesnt deny its stop maneuver.

The point of comparing it tobthe B is to show case thst the ships statline simply isnt impressive enough to justify the gimmick

A single point of "oh wow a WHOLE agility" might as well not exist without defensive modifiers

Better off imo modding the U with raw focus that you can use on offense and/or defense

True, but you're still paying 29 points (at a minimum) for 8 health and only two unmodified green dice to protect it.

also forgot to mention, the pivot wing 0-k is stupidly clunky and not at all good relative to having an actual K-turn

problem is you can flip and then the enemy bumps into you. Great, now you're stressed and facing the strong way. Even with Hera, you won't be able to bring guns to bear on the enemy because, if you flip, they'll either bump or slip past you again.

Or you can try to make distance and then got shot by the guy who is now behind you

its only advantage is that

a.) it can't be blocked

b.) it's better than nothing

etc.

if you just want "a gun", the U is not for you

the Ezra hera combo is far superior on a VCX-100. The points spent upgrading are far more than justified

I had really good success running Cassian in support of Kanan Ghost.

With Hera and inspiring recruit you can stop for two rounds and still get your action after one green. It's a fun little combo for two points.

You don't do the zero reverse in the middle of combat. That's a death trap. You treat it like a two-turn k-turn; there's a reason this ship has a four straight. Use it.

Might be nice!

hmmm... Tactical Jammer on a U-wing with Hera. Great added stationary defense for friendly ships.
