Play a FAD Adventure for Mixed Group

By kelpie, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Hi everyone

i got an experienced mixed group (around 400 xp each) where one of them is a Jedi and the other are not-force sensitive

can i run a FAD published adventure (ie Chronicles of the Gatekeeper or the free adventure follow-up to the beginner game) or that's suited for a force user only group?

If i need to customize a FAD adventure, what should i put to let the adventure feel like a "jedi's quest" but not bore to death the not-jedi ones?

Its fun for non force users too.

They can be fun for non-force users, but it helps if they are somewhow invested in the force. You can get more mercenary characters involved in these adventures by throwing in benefactors like Lor San Tekka who pay big money to have force artifacts brought to them for safe keeping.

The reward scheme in a lot of the F&D adventures is a bit off, because you pretty inevitably end up with holocrons and lightsabers being the primary payoff, while money is really scarce. For one throwing in things like the Church of the Force to trade in Kyber crystals and such for cold hard creds is a decent way to keep finding those interesting, but you can also throw in some other stuff, like letting people find cortosis weave armor, which can be useful when fighting enemies with lightsabers.

There are some bits where people just have force visions, or a certain part of the adventure is written to require certain force powers, those bits can get a bit tricky and you might have to allow some creative solutions, but it can actually be really fun to try and deal with that stuff without actually having force powers.
