So the U-Wing has its door gunners, the Tie Striker is an atmospheric aircraft. So what do we think the chances are that another atmospheric craft, a classic from the original trilogy, that I personally would love to fly?
Wave 11 T-47
Striker can into space. U-wing can into space and doesn't have the door MG in game.
T-47 cannot into space.

Actually....
I'd be down with some T-47s, either as part of a ground based game or just in X-wing
I support this. Please add T-16s and Bespin Cloud Cars as well.
Striker can into space.
Not very far - it's "suborbital" - so can't even reach orbit on its own.

Or maybe it can't climb to space but can be transported with a different ship?
Are you sure about that? First descriptions said that it is space capable, and the visual guide says it can drop orbital mines.

I was thinking "it can't achieve orbital velocity, let alone breakaway velocity". A Star Destroyer that is not in orbit, but hovering, could deploy them and they could fly out, perform mission, and return to star destroyer. Or, a Star Destroyer that is in orbit, could deploy them, they could fly out, lay some orbital mines, and fly back without ever leaving orbit.
Think of them as like the Mercury capsules during the Redstone era rather than Atlas era - designed to be suborbital spacecraft but not orbital ones. And of course these TIE Strikers are designed to work very well in atmosphere, being streamlined for speed. They can perform operations in space, but they lack the "orbit to ground and back" capability of dedicated starfighters.
Edited by IronlordMakes sense, but what matters in context of this game is that Strikers, unlike T-47 or cloud cars, can dogfight in space
Apologies, I was under the impression they could not. If they can, well nevermind. (Haven't seen the film yet)

Doesn't matter. This is a game, not a space combat simulator. There are lots of atmospheric battles in the Star Wars series. If you don't like the idea of T-47s dogfighting with TIE fighters you don't have to use them -- but some of us think that would be tremendous fun.
As long as a fight is in armosphere they totally can.
If anyone has played battlefront, they would know how horribly outmatched t-47s are against actual starfighters.

Actually the T-47 main guns would be Attk 1 in X-Wing.

Well, now we have confirmation that the T-15's have been discontinued before the Battle of Yavin... obsolete. Some are happy.
So bring on the T-16's!!

Rogue Squadron games beg to differ
I think the EU V-Wing has a better chance to get in over the Snow Speeder, that said, I prefer the snow speeder looks wise, THAT said, the V-wing would look nice next to the K-Wing in battle
Are you sure about that? First descriptions said that it is space capable, and the visual guide says it can drop orbital mines.
The visual guide even specifically states:
"Nearly every design feature incorporated to make it an agile atmospheric flier becomes a liability in space."
Which implies that it can totally go into space. It just much crappier there. Maybe that's why it only has a 2 Agility.
As a The Empire Strikes Back and EU guy, I can say that while snowspeeders eventually downed unshielded AT-ATs with tow cables, their actual weapons had literally no effect. Then, in the expanded universe, you see Wedge and friends wrecking AT-ATs with casual disdain in their X-wings.
Thematically, the T-47 should be 4 points (reflecting the fact that they were acquired for free from Thrawn/Nuso), have a primary weapon value of 1 and a title card something like:
Cable Net (Title, 0 points)
When you reveal your maneuver dial, you may drop 1 Cable Net token. This token detonates when a ship or its maneuver template overlaps this token. Remove all Cable Net Tokens during the end phase.
When this token detonates, the ship that overlapped it receives 1 stress token and, if its hull value is 4 or less, it receives 1 additional stress token.
Or Maybe
Tow Cable (Title, 0 points)
Just give up...
The t47 speeder?
Well we already have its child, the ARC (other parent is the Xwing)

Rogue Squadron games beg to differ
The Rogue Squadron were very free at interpreting stats and abilities of the fighters. After all they were arcade games.
T-16 should definitely be in this game, it is space-worthy even if it can't leave orbit. Many TIEs don't have hyperdrives but they are still in this game even if we just recently got their carrier vehicles (epic only).
Striker can "go" into space. U-wing can "go" into space and doesn't have the door MG in game.
T-47 cannot "go" into space.

I think I'd build the T-47 as a cross between the TIE Striker and Heavy Scyk.
Give it the Striker's dial; without the TIE title it will be slower; priced as a Scyk.
Give it 2/3/3/0 stats, but with a rear arc.
Rogue Squadron Pilot title (2 points): add a cannon or crew slot; gain 1 hull.
